Cobo With Their Awesome Possibiliteas
3/24/2013 07:00:00 AMNowadays, Filipinos love milk tea. Most student and yuppies enjoy sipping milk teas while doing the unstoppable chitchat with their friends. Tea shops became a hub for everyone. You can see stores almost everywhere and for us we were seeing one this store in Ever Gotesco. It is the first time that we saw it there and it's something new for us.
Cobo is the name of the tea shop and it can easily be noticed with their colorful graphic design. It's more like a comic characters representing the food and drinks that the store have. We were planning to try and taste their teas there but opportunity catch up to us. We were invited by Mommy Jo to cover their grand opening in one of their branch in Sta. Lucia East Mall. The location is something new for because we usually attend events somewhere in the metro but this time its far away from the usual place.
The opening was done with a twist. They did a popping act of the balloons representing it like the bubble burstea that they have before cutting the ribbon. Then the usual flow of the program goes. The dedication of the establishment and of course the most awaited of all events, the giving away of free milk teas for those who received the free coupons. For us the tasting of their foods was next in line.
First that we tried was their milk tea, not so sweet on what I have tried but since I'm a sweet type of person perhaps I'll ask to have more sweet the next time that I order it.
Next stop was the Bubble Burstea, we felt being a kid again as we burst those popping pearls. It's an unexplainable feeling every time I burst those pearls in my mouth and I personally enjoyed sipping and bursting a cup of Bubble Burstea. Flavorful and refreshing!
Of course if there is a refreshment to sooth the thirst there's also foodies to fill in those hungry tummies. It's their Taiwanese Tummy Treats that I'm talking about and in line with that is their Squid Wedges which I can assure that all the bloggers loved it very much.
Next was the pork siomai, imagine a siomai without a sauce, yet it taste good.
Another treats was the Chicken and Pork Chops that comes with two variant of sauces, sweet and spicy and barbeque, I think.
Lastly and to complete the whole experience was the Snow Cream, it was tagged as the "Ang Dessert na di mo Inakala", we really enjoyed the colorful presentation with 12 different kinds of pearls and jellies. This is the first time I tried this kind of dessert.
Oh before I forgot Cobo stands for Company of Bubbles, that has been 2 years and 3 months in the business, they have already 20 stores for the record. Cobo is a local brand but the ingredients and the equipments came from Taiwan. They have a lesser price among their competitors, and for sure most of the students can afford to buy their teas and milkteas.
