A Fun Day at the First Nickelodeon Slime Cup
6/12/2014 05:48:00 AMThis event is the first ever Nickelodeon Slime Cup in the Philippines. This event aims to bring fun for the kids and their families through playtime that promotes a healthy lifestyle at the slimiest sports festival. The activity target kids ages from six (6) years old and above and their families can participate too. This Nickelodeon Slime Cup happened last May 31 at Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Center in Manila which lasted for 8 hours from 10 AM to 6 PM. Too bad we weren’t able to stay long in the event but the hours being there was just enough to be a part of the first Nickelodeon Slime Cup.
Here’s a little something to learn about the Nickelodeon Slime Cup. This kind of activity was first launch in Singapore last year. This activity aims for the celebration of athleticism, gaming and Nickelodeon’s signature green slime encourages kids to enjoy bonding with their families while instilling the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline and determination. Just like what we did that day it was really a fun day of games and athleticism. My two boys, Maki and Gelo did all the activities that they can. It is more than just an outlet for friendly competition among young boys and girls, the event aims to bring Nickelodeon’s brand of fun to kids while promoting playtime as away to help them lead more active lifestyle.
Well, we all know that when there’s slime there’s a Nick in the house and since slime is the main ingredient in every Nick’s event, Nickelodeon Slime Cup let kids and families enjoyed and played with the character-themed games of golf, soccer, baseball and a whole lot more of fun booths activities.
The highlight of the event was the Streetball Challenge which is one of the activities that my kids weren’t able to join, yet. I’ll be cheering for that once they’re old enough to join the basketball game. It is a 3 on 3 basketball competition open to the first 16 teams to register. Not really sure how they run about with the 16 teams playing and who won but I’m sure it ended nicely.

When we all got tired and hungry, we decided to sat down and enjoyed their free viewing some of Nickelodeon’s animated series while I get something to eat for all of us. There were great foods inside the activity area so there’s no worry of getting foods and drinks. Of course you’ll have to pay for it.
There were also performances made and special appearances from Nickelodeon’s beloved characters like Spongebob SquarePants and friends, Dora the Explorer and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The event is open to public and it is free of charge, all you have to do is to head on to the venue and register on the day of the event itself. So again next year you’d better watch out for it and get your kids and family enjoy the Nickelodeon signature of fun.
The Nickelodeon Slime Cup is presented by Toy Kingdom and Co-sponsored by Barbie the Pearl Princess, El Real Spaghetti and Macaroni, Goody Gulp Milk Drink, Jack ‘n Jill Knots, Lipps Pop Stix, McDonald’s Happy Meal, Biogesic for Kids, Purefoods Funstuff Nuggets, Rio, and Sketchers Kids. Official venue is SMX Convention Center Manila.
It was a fun day for all of us! Looking forward for next year again.
