Easy ways to look and feel good after childbirth

During pregnancy, your body undergoes many changes and adjusts so that your baby can develop and be born. Pregnancy changes may even leave some traumatized, especially those who are scarred after giving birth via caesarean section.
It can take a while before you can get back to your pre-pregnancy figure and this may affect how you see and feel about your body. Here are some tips on how to look good and boost your confidence after giving birth:
Start your day right. Whether you’re staying home with your little angel or you’re going to work, make sure you allot time for a morning routine which can both make you feel relaxed and boost your self-confidence. You may try starting your day with a cup of coffee, having a shower, putting on make-up, fixing your hair and choosing your favorite jewelry. It’s up to you to craft your own routine depending on which can make you feel good and put you in the mood.
Keep your maternity clothes away. After giving birth, you might feel tempted to still use your maternity clothes. Even if they are comfortable to wear, keep them inside the closet. Shopping for new outfits can help you feel sexy again and remind you that you don't always have to be in mommy mode especially in your appearance.
Go to a beauty salon. Getting a new haircut or hairstyle can make you feel a hundred times more confident than sporting a boring ponytail. You can either have your hair styled or make it shorter so it’s easier to manage. And while you’re at it, you can get yourself a manicure and pedicure, too.
Give time for yourself. Once in a while, take a break and let someone you trust do the baby sitting. This could be the perfect time for you and your husband to go on a date and have fun. Or you can take this chance to exercise, shop, reconnect with your friends and relax.
Just like TV personality and actress Cheska Garcia-Kramer, she spent time to maintain her beauty, figure and flawless skin even after giving birth to her three lovely children – Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin – via caesarean section.
“Exercising for me is a great mood booster; it helps me cope with stress while keeping my skin healthy. I also make sure to prepare healthy meals for my family, drink at least eight glasses of water a day and follow a skin regimen,” she said.
Cheska also shared how Contractubex helped lighten her c-section scar. “During my first and second pregnancy, I used other brands on my c-section scar but I was not happy with the results. Then I switched to Contractubex after giving birth to Gavin, and I liked how my scar lightened with no nodule formation under my skin. In a span of eight months, I could hardly see my scar,” she said.
Contractubex is clinically proven to help reduce the appearance of scars. Recommended by doctors worldwide, Contractubex has a unique combination of three active ingredients which work their way deep and into the scar to help reduce scarring from within.
Contractubex is easy to use. Once the wound is closed, simply apply the gel on the affected area three to four times a day for at least three months. It works on raised problematic scars or cosmetically disfiguring scars like keloids and hypertrophic scars.
“Even if we’re busy with the children, household chores or work, as a woman, we should not forget to take care of ourselves. Beauty and confidence can help bring out the best in us and encourage us to eagerly accomplish our tasks. I’m happy that a brand that boosts women’s confidence exists. With Contractubex, I have moved on!” Cheska said.
Contractubex is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Merck Sharp and Dohme and is available at all leading drugstores nationwide.
