Piolo Pascual and Iya Villania on SILKA
2/03/2015 01:17:00 AMTwo of the country's celebrities Iya Villania and Piolo Pascual (The Ultimate Hearthrob) find the selves on the same ground as product ambassadors for Silka Papaya Soap, itself a household name in skin care.
The superbly admired and multi awarded TV/Movie Actor, concert/recording artist and social influencer jumped in as a most exciting male endorser for the brand that has been around for the past 13 years, while the actress-model, best known for her long VJ stint in top music channel MYX, continues her endearing run in promoting the now cetified "no. 1 beauty soap in the Philippines.
Most significantly, it's them being essentially different from each other, as defined by Cosmetique Asia Corporation which distributes the said soap brand, that make them worthy of their shared spots.
Silka started the year by launching two separate TV Commercials featuring them, now being heavily aired and seen by millions of Piolo, Iya and Silka followers. These developments surely give the Silka trademark the strong push to open up the still-fresh 2015.
EVERYBODY LOVES PIOLO
Silka spokesperson Jane Co shares the company stand on having Piolo as the latest celebrated embodiment of their remarkable corporate background. She said "We believe that Piolo's achievements are from his many years of consistent hard work and professionalism. Similar to Piolo's success, Silka also gives its best to the consumers by way of consistency in quality and affordability.
The well-toned matinee idol actually had a public tie-in with Silka a couple of months back when he hosted along with sports lady anchor Gretchen Ho, the Miss Silka Philippines 2014 Coronation night held at the Activity Center of Market Market in The Fort last November. Yet, the decision to have him on Board as Ambassador is rooted from the sensibly deep connection between Silka and Piolo as two "brands" that empower emotional attachment to the public.
Co added, "We all grew to love Piolo. There's the emotional attachment that made that possible, in the same way that Silka has succesfully inched its way into the households of modern Filipina"
Silka had equally-revered actor John Lloyd Cruz as its first male endorser. Having Piolo takes the seat to the throne this time around is like replacing a first-rate act with another.
LUCKY CHARM IYA
As for Iya, the "scientific" study touches on her down to earth nature and being Silka's trusted partner for more than a decade now. Co pointed out, "Iya has been with us for over ten hears. We considered her as our Lucky Charm".
To elaborate on the scientific side of this matter, Silka explained that Iya's TVC "does not only talk about achieving fare and smoothe skin, but also discuss how Silka uses the best ingredients for our papaya soap. Papaya enzy,e for whitening and vitamin for soft supple skin."
Iya strongly showcases the natural Asian beauty which is in line with the product's target market.
With all such positive aspects put into consideration, both Piolo and Iya are hands-down perfect choices to be the amiable tandem to promote Silka. For Silka Papaya Soap has been number 1 in the beauty soap and number 2 in the over-all soap category since 2012 (data from Kantar World Panel). Their respective charms cannot be denied and these will surely propel the leading manufacturer of top cosmetic products for Filipino consumers to even greater heights.
