Maginhawang Pasko at QC Festival

Dubbed as "Maginhawang Pasko Food & art Hub Festival," this year's celebration is packed with a broader array of themes that will surely tickle the interest of various enthusiasts: from foodies, artists, musicians, fashion and design aficionados.
Just last year, Maginhawa's hole-in-the-wall restaurants and specialty food joints will be highlighted in the event. It aims to establish the Maginhawa food strip as a rising food tourism destination in Quezon City. Over 100 restaurants along Maginhawa and nearby streets will once again offer their best and delectably diverse menu to customers, guests, and spectators expected to dine and celebrate with their family and friends.
But what sets this year's Quezon City Festival different from last year is the inclusion of equally interesting shops and activities that will surely invigorate the christmas atmosphere in the area. Maginhawa residents establishments will be part of a Christmas Decoration Contest where the best ornamented establishments can win exciting prizes. The competition will surely light up the entire stretch of Maginhawa to make the occasion even more fun and festive.
Concessionaires' booths will also be as diverse. Aside from food stall, Maginhawa will also offer unique and interesting fashion, music, arts and crafts products. The 320 participating exhibitors pledge to offer special Christmas packages and promos at very affordable prices.
The day will also be filled with interesting activities open for everyone. A short program will be held in the morning to be followed by a walk thru of some segments of Maginhawa by city government officials and guests.
There will be two sets of program along Maginhawa: one at the UP Village area and another at Malingap Street, which is a rising food strip itself. The length of Maginhawa Street, from Masaya to V. Luna Avenue, will be closed during the event.
In the Afternoon, there will be live performances by up and coming bands and performers to be filled in between by fun events such as Bingo games and karaoke contests. A cosplay competition will also be in place and will be open for anyone who wishes to display his/her most striking and creative costumes. The community folks from 38 barangays of District IV, Quezon City can also participate in the "Maginhawa Na, Malinis Pa" contest. Four best designated trash bins will be awarded cash prizes.
This event is organized by the Local Government of Quezon City led by the Office of Mayor Herbert Bautista, Office of Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, and the Tourism Department, in cooperation with the District Office of Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr.
