Last May was indeed a successful day for Nails.Glow because they just opened 2 new branches in two different locations. The company really embraced their tagline "Standout @ 6" and they really are standing out and making waves of development and expansion of their brand, Nails.Glow.


My husband and I were very fortunate to witness the grand opening of their 2 branches which are located at Robinsons Regalado and SM San Jose Del Monte. Ms. Liza Soberano, the brand ambassadress, graced the 2 opening of the branches with of course a meet and greet of her fans and patrons of Nails.Glow.

You can really see how popular Liza Soberano is because on the two branch openings crowds are overflowing. Everybody wants to see their idol and get an opportunity to have a photo with her. Even while having her nails done inside, Nails.Glow staff took their chance of having a photo with her. You can also see fans outside peeping just to have a glimpse of Liza Soberano.



It was really amazing how this company made it to where they are right now. I remember the very first time that I was able to cover their event and blog about them, you can read it here if you want to, it was great. Now that they are celebrating their 6 years in this industry, we were able to ask about their secret to success. It’s been several difficult years since Nov. 8, 2013, when the Philippines braved the strongest storm ever recorded, and took the brunt of Typhoon Haiyan, the deadliest Philippine typhoon to date.
 As the typhoon swept through Samar, Leyte, Cebu, Capiz, Negros and Northern Iloilo, it left in its wake 6,300 dead, and cities such as Tacloban in a brittle heap. According to reports, an estimated 16 million people were affected by Typhoon Haiyan, 4.1 million people were displaced, and 1.1 million houses were damaged after the devastation.
Rebuilding the cities, especially Tacloban, and helping the communities bounce back from such devastation was a challenge. It was a difficult task, but not an impossible one for the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
“The Philippine Red Cross understands that action without direction is nothing. We, the PRC, pride ourselves in being there at times when people need us most, sharing hope when there doesn’t seem to be any, and providing light when others cannot see the way,” shared PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Gordon. “As long as PRC live, we will continue to serve, protect and be in service to the Filipino people.”

When it comes to breakfast, parents like me make sure that it is healthy and I also make sure my family won't skip their breakfast. This is one of the things I learned from my parents.
Last April 30, Energen launched their latest campaign about nutrition and they started their promotion through the community of Barangay Commonwealth where they launched the Energen Healthy Breakfast Movement where residences of Brgy. Commonwealth enjoyed the delicious and easy-to-prepare nutritious cereal drink, Energen. Of course an outdoor event wouldn't be complete without the lecture and some fitness, since we're talking about health and nutrition. During the launch families were educated and encouraged to appreciate the importance of a healthy and nutritious breakfast to start the day right.
So aside from the free Energen for all, there were also free lecture, zumba dance which was led by Rochelle Pangilinan and of course some games and prizes to make the day livelier.

According to the Department of Science and Technology – Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI), 6 out of 10 Filipino households suffer from poor nutrition. Having poor or under nutrition stunts mental and physical development while over nutrition leads to obesity and chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. That’s why it is really important to have a healthy breakfast.

This activity of Energen is in cooperation with the Department of Health League of Registered Nutritionists and Dietricians. They have been actively supporting and educating Filipino families about the importance of having a healthy breakfast through feeding programs and community-based activities. One of these is the Breakfast Supplementary Feeding Program in Minalin, Pampanga where Energen has been an instrument in improving the weight and nutrition of malnourished kids.

The Energen Healthy Breakfast Movement will continue to spread the word on the following communities at Barangay Tinago Sports Complex in Cebu City on May 21 and at Davao City Recreational Center – Almendras Gym, Davao City on May 28.

Need to feel some light romance this summer perhaps a little doze of Jadine's kilig love team's newest movie can quench that feeling. As the hottest couple in reel and real-life, James Reid and Nadine Lustre makes a return in the big screen in this light, feel-good summer movie entitled "THIS TIME". The movie is produced by Viva Films and directed by Nuel Naval. The movie opens on May 4 in theaters nationwide.

The movie is a screenplay created by Mel Mendoza-del Rosario which tells a story about childhood sweethearts with their long distance relationship and only get to see each other on summer. According to James Reid, " I guess this movie, it's more focused on the love, the relationship. It goes deeper into relationships like long distance relationship."


“I can’t say it’s more mature ‘coz it’s very light. So esy to watch. Kissing scenes? Let’s see. We can’t beat ‘OTWOL,” added by James.

Nadine agrees to what James mentioned, “Well, this time, super light po siya, as in. Kasi nga po summer movie siya, so, parang gusto po natin na sobrang light lang siya and GP lang.”

During the press conference James and Nadine not only take and answers all the questions thrown by the press media but also made everyone giggle with their romantic song duet. The love team is indeed one of the best and strong love teams in this generation and knowing that there are other love teams in the industry, it is perhaps best to know that Jadine doesn’t sees it as rivalry but as a healthy competition in the industry.

The Jadine love team is strong because of its unwavering fans and according to them “Well I guess we have the fans to thank for that. When they say we’re number one ‘coz we have a lot of projects right now, very successful TV show, everything’s going really well, it doesn’t mean we’re better. We just have amazing fans.”

Jadine’s movie “This Time” casts some of the veteran actors and actresses like Al Tantay, Freddie Webb, Nova Villa, Ronnie Lazaro, Candy Pangilinan and VIVA artists Yam Concepcion, Donnalyn Bartolome, Issa Pressman and Bret Jackson.
