Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes: DongYan at McDonald's National Breakfast Day!
3/20/2017 09:15:00 AMMcDonald's aims for everyone to have the "best Monday ever" by stopping in the nearest participating McDonald's restaurant from 6:00am to 7:00am. This year, it's close to 450 restaurants who participated in this national event and each stores were able to giveaway free breakfast sandwiches via dine-in or drive-thru. Each customer was able to get either an Egg McMuffin, a Sausage McMuffin or McDonalds's newest breakfast offering, the Burgerdesal.
- Burgerdesal -- McDonald’s twist on a Filipino staple - the pan de sal. It is made with a soft pan de sal, paired with a tasty burger patty and is topped off with a sweet, creamy, and flavorful sauce.
- Egg McMuffin -- Made of a warm, toasted, buttered English muffin layered with freshly cracked Grade A egg, plus lean Canadian bacon, and a slice of melty American cheese
- Sausage McMuffin -- Made of a juicy and savory all-beef sausage and melty American-style cheese in between warm perfectly toasted English Muffins
Among the three sandwiches I personally love the Burgerdesal. Not that it is new but it is really a Filipino Style Breakfast. Aside from the free sandwiches during the National Breakfast Day I also love to see the lovely couple Dingding Dantes and Marian Rivera or known as "DongYan" as they serve the sandwiches to patrons who went to McDonald's on that day.
They were delighted and happy serving the breakfasts to early and lucky customers. You can see that happiness through the beautiful smile of Marian Rivera in the picture as well as the video of her while serving customers who lined up at the Drive-thru. They are truly the perfect image and the best ambassadors for McDonald's.
Every year, McDonald’s extends the experience of
National Breakfast Day to groups of early risers – those who are unable to
enjoy a good breakfast because they are up earlier than everyone else to work
or serve. This year, McDonald’s makes it extra special and pays tribute to
those who have helped others welcome new beginnings.
To celebrate the beauty of mornings and how they bring forth new beginnings, McDonald’s released an online video, telling the story of Mrs. Luzviminda Santiago, a public school teacher who dedicated her life to imparting lessons and providing support to students. The video highlights the importance mentors have in enabling and inspiring the community, and hopes to encourage viewers to pay tribute to those who have helped usher in a new beginning for them. The title of the video is "Good Morning, Teacher".
Take a look at the video, it really touches your hearts. Me, personally have a teary eyed while watching the video, I love the video and it is really timely now here in the Philippines.
