It's another pride for the Filipino people and we really did show in a talent we're really proud of, what else but singing. Not only that we're being known locally or in Asia but also in the whole wide world. It has been a mark that whenever there's a singing competition Pinoys are always one of the participants. It was really great and a proof of that there's another Filipino who sings her way to the top, Julia Banda who won 4 golds and a silver at World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA). Julia won 4 golds under the category of Pop, Rock , Gospel and Open Music and 1 silver medal for her Broadway performance. She sure make us really proud.
Julia Banda's true name is Kristina Julia Marie G. Banda her name is taken from her parents name. Julia started singing at the age of 4, her childhood favorite singer was Britney Spears. Now that she's 19 years old, she loves the singing style of Jaya and Jonalyn Viray, according to her they influence her when it comes to music.
Julia shares also that she is now entering 4th year College at Miriam College taking up BS Psychology. During the Blogcon, she mentioned that her parents are both deaf and mute, and she's really proud of them because they really supported her all throughout her journey despite of their difficulties. Her Titas are big help for her in communicating with her parents. She was taught how to communicate through sign language.
Julia is hoping that her parents would hear her performances, specially when she competed at the WCOPA, but still she really love them because they are still with her watching her performances though they can't hear. She shared that she accepted wholeheartedly the situation of her parents because this what God gave her. On the other hand, all her siblings are all normal and no one inherit the disablity of their parents."Bawing-bawi po sila sa amin kasi madadaldal po kaming lahat" Julia shared.

I personally asked her about what happened after WCOPA 2014, Julia shared that he worked with Talents Manila, she even do front act performances, like Ima Castro, Jake Vargas, Jasmin Curtis and Paolo Avelino. She even have a duet with Jose Mari Chan singing the ever famous "Christmas in Our Hearts".








Long journey to this promising singer, but with her undying talents plus her winning performances, Julia Banda will achieve her success and fame with the help and guidance of her titas. Continue to perform and entertain other people and you'll achieve what your hearts is longing for.
