Pokwang Signs Contract with the Kapuso Network

Change is the only constant thing in this world. In the past few months there are lots of changes happened in the Showbiz/Entertainment world. One of these changes is the change of network of one of the award-winning actress and comedian Pokwang who just recently signed a contract. Yes, Pokwang is now a certified Kapuso!

The contract signing happened last June 18 through a virtual ceremony with the presence of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, First Vice President for Drama Redgie A. Magno, First Vice President for Business Development Department III Darling De Jesus-Bogedon, First Vice President and Head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy Oliver B. Amoroso, Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz, Vice President for Comedy, Infotainment, Game & see Reality Productions Janine P. Nacar, Senior Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl-Ching Sy, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Assistant Vice President for Comedy, Infotainment, Game & Reality Production Bang U. Arespachochaga, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, Senior Program Manager Enri Calaycay, and GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora. It was indeed a momentous event for GMA and for Pokwang.

Pokwang became very emotional with the warm welcome of some Kapuso artist, like Ai Ai Delas Alas, Rayver Cruz, Camille Prats, and Alden Richards.

According to Pokwang, she parted ways with her previous network in good terms. Gladly they accept her decision. According to her, she wants to continue her passion as an artist, and very thankful to GMA Network for opening their doors for her to share and show her talents.

Excitedly, Pokwang shared that she wants to work with Kapuso artist, like DongYan (Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Barbie Forteza, Dennis Trillio, Carla Abellana, Ai Ai Delas Alas, Alden Richards, and Maine Mendoza.

She will continue her passion to give laughter on every Filipinos. Pokwang is truly a comedienne with a heart. "Mas lively, mas masaya, para akong isang apoy na pansamantalang pinigil pero ngayon pasabog na, masaya, magaan lang, mas maibibigay ko ang comedic side ko. Dito sa GMA, nakikita kong back ako sa kung saan ako nalilinya talga, which is comedy."

Aside of her showbiz career, Mamang Pokwang is also busy with her business, the Poklee Food Products. According to her, time management is very important as she needs to balance her career and her business.

Pokwang shared also that she will be in different shows in GMA Network, like in Pepito Manaloto and Wish Ko lang. She will be guesting in some GMA programs, All-Out Sundays, Sarap Di Ba and The Boobay and Tekla Show.
