"Water makes our body perform better?" Dr. Krizzle Luna explains how hydration enables the body’s functions better as a whole when we hydrate properly

Our bodies need a lot of energy to get through the day, which goes double for strenuous physical activities, such as sports, exercise, and even when getting romantic and intimate. Failing to replenish with lots of water may lead to dehydration, but what does that mean for us and our stamina?
To shed light on the matter, Doctor and Tiktoker Dr. Krizzle Luna dives deeper into the effects of dehydration in our bodies in her video. Apart from thirst, headaches, dry skin, and muscle cramps, she brought up the body’s performance being affected by water deficiency, from our energy levels, to a possibility of sexual dysfunction.
But why do our bodies rely on hydration for sexual performance? According to Urology of Greater Atlanta, and Daniel Murrell, M.D. from Healthline, our bodies need sufficient water levels to function properly during physical activities. Better hydration increases blood cells and plasma, and promotes blood flow throughout the veins and arteries, making it easier to perform. Dehydration increases blood pressure, restricting blood flow throughout the body, especially to the lower extremities making sexual performance more difficult.
To recognize dehydration, it is important to look out for the signs our bodies show us. As stated by the Urology of Greater Atlanta, these symptoms include a dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue, and a dark urine color.
Rather than wait for a sign, however, Dr. Luna advises we drink water as often as possible to ensure our body has plenty of water during physical activity and to avoid dehydration and its symptoms.
The doctor also recommended drinking mineral water for improved hydration, due to the essential minerals that we can’t produce naturally in our body, being magnesium, calcium, and potassium. These minerals aid the body in keeping healthy and hydrated during intimate physical moments. In her video, she cites Le Minerale for greater hydration, with it being readily available in many stores, calling on her viewers to enhance their water intake with mineral water.
