Harnessing the power of GenAI and other technologies, SLGS Philippines also shared examples of innovative solutions that have positively impacted various aspects of Sun Life. Sun Life Asks was recognized at the 2024 CIO Awards Canada, which celebrate Canadian organizations and the teams within them that are using IT in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth, or improving relationships with customers. LG took over Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater in Taguig for a day packed with innovation, excitement, and icy cool experiences! The highlight? LG’s latest refrigerator series, featuring the Auto Ice Maker that guarantees ice is always ready for your next celebration.
The day kicked off with an exclusive program for the media, where Mr. Nakhyun Seong, LG Philippines Managing Director, shared his excitement about the event and introduced the new refrigerator lineup.

“The LG Auto Ice Maker is designed to make life easier by providing a steady supply of ice whenever you need it,” Mr. Yap explained. “It’s all about adding convenience to your daily routine, whether you're hosting friends or just relaxing with a cool drink after a busy day.”
The main attraction of the event was LG's Auto Ice Maker feature, present in all the latest refrigerator lineup, with the French door models delivering up to 96 ice cubes a day.

The LG 23.8 cu.ft French door refrigerators are designed for everyday convenience. They also come with Linear Cooling™ and Door Cooling™ to keep food fresh longer. TheInstaView™ feature found on one of the two models stands out by allowing you to check inside without opening the door, as well as Hygiene Fresh+, the latest generation of LG’s feature that absorbs odors and keeps bacteria at bay.

The LG 12.7 cu.ft bottom freezers feature a sleek flat door design, making them ideal for modern kitchens. Meanwhile, one model comes with the InstaView™ feature.

Ms. Dimples Romana, actress and a dedicated mom, joined Ian Libang for a mixology session to showcase how easy it is to make refreshing drinks with LG’s Auto Ice Maker. Together with some members of the media, they demonstrated the art of crafting mocktails with precision, using the steady supply of ice from LG’s innovative feature.

Dimples shared her excitement about the Auto Ice Maker during the demo. "I’m sure these drinks will be a hit! The afternoon highlight was another mixology session by Libang who teamed up with LG and brand partners Chingu Cafe, Milkis, and Locally to teach guests how to whip up refreshing cocktails. The crowd was fully engaged, learning fun tricks to elevate their next gathering with refreshing cocktails in an interactive session that perfectly matched the event's chill vibe.
