Hi readers! It's time to continue may pampering day!  As promised I'll be telling about my unusual try of a very unusual nail polish product called UV Gel Nail Polished.


To start with, one of the staff of Polished 'em Nail Salon and Waxing Studio did a relaxing foot spa to get me in the mood of being pampered.  Then afterwards they started cleaning my nails, getting the manicure and pedicure done.  I was just observing them and trying to guess what they will do to my nails because I really don't know yet what is that UV Gel Nail Polish, though I know it is a polish but what I want to know is what kind of polish is that.


The staff started it by applying a clear polish onto my nails, then there was this white machine thing beside me and the staff instructed me to put my hands in it.  Then it was switch on with a blue light shining out of it.  I think its UV rays not really sure about.  I think my hand lasted inside the machine for about 5 minutes.   After the clear polish they apply another polish but this time it's the UV gel nail polish (Maira) by Jennifer Lynn.  Like what I did before I place my hands again to the machine and then presto...done.  According to them the polish will last up to 3 to 4 weeks. And it was so nice.

Who said that mommy can't be pampered...well, thanks to Mommy Josephine Bonsol and Ms. Sheryl Cecilia of Polished' em Nail Salon and Waxing Studio because this Mommy just got pampered.  I did have a wonderful experience and it was a great kikay day.

First we were welcomed by the owner of the salon Ms. Sheryl Cecilia and introduced their line of products and their services to us.  Though this is my first time to have this kind of services, I somewhat familiar with the services because I always hear my friends talk about their nails and other pampering services done to them but there's two services that Polished' em Nail Salon and Waxing Studio offers that I haven't heard from my friends.


Curious what are those services?  Well, here's the first one the UV Gel Nail Polish by Jennifer Lynn.  I'm sure for those who's always on look for new Kikay things, they know this already but for us this is new.  So experiencing it is really great.

So, what's this UV Gel Nail Polish?  Well judging from what I saw and experienced it is a gel hardens using an Ultraviolet rays I presume but rest assured that it is not harmful.  Compared to other nail polished this one doesn't have any strong odor and the good thing about it is that it is a gel.

So, how it is done?  Of course they need to prepare and clean our nails first before applying those UV Gel Nail Polish.  We were given a foot spa first and then made the usual routine of manicure and pedicure.  Afterwards, the best part the application of the nail polish.  One of the staff assigned to me started it by applying a clear polish on to my nails and instructed me to place it inside the machine.  It got a blue light coming out of it and I'm not really sure if it is the UV rays.  Five minutes after the staff removed my hands and put another polish and I think this time it's the UV Gel Nail Polished (Maira) by Jennifer Lynn.  With the same procedure they got my hands inside the machine and then viola... it's done!  According to them it will last 3 to 4 weeks.







The second is the Ear Candling.  This is my first time to hear such pampering procedure.  So, out of curiosity, I tried it.  The experience was something different because while it is being done there were popping sounds like something is being cooked and after that I feel so light and relax.  According to them Ear Candling relieves the symptoms of vertigo and dizziness that's why they encourage us to try it every 3 months.


And the last thing that I tried was their services for the eyebrows.  Though I know that I have a very low pain tolerance, I tried and it did made me cry...really!  Their procedure for the eyebrows was called the threading.  It really hurts and it was also my first time but it was so nice and I like what they did to my eyebrow.

There were also an eyelashes extension procedure but I didn't tried it.  Altogether, those three services are bundle and package for a prize of Php1,200.00 only.  Pretty economical for a day of pampering!

2011 it was a year of struggle in my family.

First quarter of the year, my father was confined in the hospital. 2nd quarter, i undergone an emergency CS due to bleeding, while my pre term baby Gelo was confined in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. 3rd quarter was a silent quarter of my life, nothing happen, but on the last quarter of the year my 1 year old niece died and my pre term baby Gelo was confined again for almost 1 week due to broncho pneumonia.Whew!!!what a year? Right?

But 2011 was done..struggles done...hopefully...

Unfortunately 2012 another struggle happen, as of this moment my pre term baby Gelo again undergone medication for 1 week and is still under observation. Imagine 39 to 40  degree Celsius temperature..scary...sleepless night...no office work...because i need to stay home with my baby, i need to monitor, i need to talk to our pedia...

Struggle...again...

Hope this circumstances will not last...but i'm very thankful that i face all those struggle and it make me a strong person and realized that my family is very important to me more than other things..and i realize who is your true friend that will help you to coup up in things that.

This time, I just want to take the opportunity to give thanks to JOAN MONISIT for being there to me, she make me strong and make me happy every time i experienced struggle. May the Good Lord bless you always JOAN MONISIT.

I will just want to make my life easy and happy this 2012...I just claim that i am the luckiest and happiest person this year. Some of the Feng Sui explained that those with year of the Rooster will be lucky this year

For the first stop. I just celebrated my birthday last Jan 6, 2012, well...just want to thank Pizza hut for the GC that we received. My Family and my in-laws went to Pizza hut just to have a dinner, unfortunately, my husband a blogger too, forgot our camera, so it means no capture moment on my mini celebration.

Next stop, yesterday January 11, 2012, its GELO's 8th month celebration. Just a simple celebration, my mother cooked a spaghetti while my husband bought a cake. We were so blessed that Gelo is now celebrating his 8th month and in just a few months he'll be turning 1, just wait and see what will happen on that big event.

Recently, I started blogging again, it was 2009 when I started blogging but then I stopped because it’s not may “forte” to write something about my life. Well, quote and quote, blogging is a sort of making a “diary”. Until my husband eagerly and continuously courted me that it is really fun and fulfilling to engage in blogging. Well, my husband is just like an avid suitor because I remember when he was still courting me, his really persistent, that’s why I gave my precious answer to accept him. I just relate it now that he is persistent again in asking me to blog, there you go..i’m into blogging now.

Now, blogging offers so much more events unlike before. In addition, there are so many online contest and giveaways.


Just like when I joined Mommy Jes’ birthday giveaway, but unfortunately, I did not won the major prizes. I just won a notepad. Mommy Jes’ concept is really nice, because she have a lot of prizes. Just like a notepad that I won, because I am one of the 1st thirty (30) bloggers who join. I am very thankful because her giveaways gave a lot of experiences to me such as first time to join a contest, first time to receive a gift from the contest and first time to receive a mail from the US. It was really fun!

At last we were riding in a cab going to the hospital. Yap! It’s really last!! And I need to accept it. I need to undergo an emergency CS to save me and my baby. As we reached the hospital, I kept on praying. I kept on telling to myself that I need the strength to face all of these. I remembered I asked again a nurse if it’s really last to do an emergency CS, the nurse answered me, “Yes mam, and your OB-gyne is already waiting there in the operation room”.

At the emergency room, of course a lot of things need to do first before the operation.

The Deposit…the hospital needs 10k deposit to allow me to undergo an operation. I have only on my hand was 5k, I asked my mom to pay it and tell them that once my husband arrived he will give the extra 5k. My mother requests in the hospital and thankful that they accepted my deposit even it was only 5k.

The documents…a lot of documents needed to fill up once confined in the hospital. Our staff keeps on asking me on what she will write on the said documents since my mother was still in the cashier. This was the funny part of this experiences, (imagine hurt is in the air but the humor still there to cheer me up), since our staff in the office keep on asking me, I rather fill up the documents by myself. So I asked first the nurse to please explain to me every page of that document. I told them that I need to know it first before I fill up because maybe I cannot go out this hospital or they gonna sell me (oh well that’s a joke) but despite of the humor I have, the nurse looked frowning as he continue explaining every page of the documents. After I heard all the explanation, I started now filling up all the needed information, while I’m doing those things, our staff Ate Jho said “Mam ang tapang mo naman, ikaw pa ang nag fill up ng documents habang dinudugo ka na at malapit ng operahan” (Mam you’re so brave, because you can fill up those stuff while you’re in pain and ready to go on the operation). Well, I need to be strong, I need to be brave, I need to face all these….I want to shout!!!I want to be positive!!!I want to save my baby!!!!!

I am now sitting in a wheel chair, going to the operation room, I keep on praying…give me strength…help me…save me and my baby…guide me in all these….Now, at the operating room, my doctor keep on talking to me, that I felt that they want me to be strong and be ready, they keep on talking to me that will ease the pain and the worries. I am lying now on the bed, the pedia keep on asking me where is your husband? What happened?a lot of question just to get me busy and to turn my attention to them not to the nurse that keep on doing on my body just to ready me on the operation. My pedia told me “you should love yourself than to love your work” and “give a lot of care when your pregnant”. That phrases still in my mind, Yay! I should love my self other than anything, and I need to give a lot of care when I’m pregnant.

The anesthesiologist saying hi to me!!! I know what will happen next, the injection that’s the scary moment in my life. I hate injection! I really really hate it! But in my mind I need to undergo on that procedure. All the doctors hold me in my feet, in my body, in my hands. The doctor told me not to move…wahhhh….here it is! Suddenly, I felt the pain, oops..i move…the doctor said “don’t move mommy, we gonna do it again..waahh. I should behave or else….

Then I felt numbing in my body. They inject me again in my shoulder, I did not feel anything. Waahh…then I felt sleepy in just a moment, but still my mind is awake, because I remembered anesthesiologist said that I’m awake during the operation because I ate my lunch, I should not eat for how many hours I think before the operation, unfortunately, since it's an emergency, unavoidable circumstances occur. ….5pm…the doctor said, it’s a boy!!!Finally!!!i heard Gelo is crying on a very loud voice..I smile though I felt groggy. Then after that sound..i slept…hoping for in just a while, I will see my son and I will hug him, carry him, and kiss him.

Those are my struggle…the struggle of my son….soon

Nowadays, people need to be evident in all walks of life. Particularly in us, we need to know more how to be noticeable. One of the important things to boast ones self-confident is to make ourselves beautiful in and out. Hair gives us additional points to feel that we are beautiful. For me having a beautiful hair is very important.


I have a straight hair and I am very lucky about it. Unfortunately, I’m not exempted to the dreading problem of dandruff. May 11, 2011…

Early morning, the sun is up, a beautiful day ahead. Breakfast… done, things to prepare… done, ready to go to my office.

Office environment-filing, reports, talking to my boss and some condo owner, preparation of some documents, those usual things happen in my life inside the office.

2pm…afternoon…My boss and I talked to one of our tenants about the contract, after a sort of explanation, I am now preparing the contract, suddenly I felt something burst inside, still I continue printing the contract…another burst…I felt something unusual that force me to go to the comfort room. I was shocked that I saw blood! I felt nervous and my heart started pounding so fast, I don’t know what to do! I think, I even forgot to flush the toilet bowl. Hurriedly, I went out and told my boss that I was bleeding. My boss assisted me to sit down, I picked up the telephone to immediately call my OB-gyne, and her assistant told me hasn’t arrived yet. After that I called my mom, my voice is shivering while talking to her. I told her what happened and asked her to meet me to my OB-gyne’s clinic. I called my OB-gyne again; thank God she’s already there. I told her what happened, so she first then instructed me to go to the hospital but later on changed her mind and insisted me to go to her clinic to do an ultrasound first before going to the hospital. Our tenant, the one that we talked about the contract, offered his car to brought me to the clinic. One of our staff assists me and she is at my side till we reached the clinic.

During the travel, I did so many things. I think it’s about 5 to 10 minutes travel going to my OB-gyne’s clinic. I grab my phone and did a message and inform my hubby and my sister-in-law about my situation. I called my husband and ask him if he can go home early…imagine my husband is in the province, his travel going home will be 2 hours I think. I talked to him, explain, my tears appeared because I don’t know what to do. After I talked to my husband, I talked to Gelo (the name of my baby), I keep on telling to him that “hold on baby…hold on baby…” I slightly touched my tummy to feel him. I am so happy because he keeps on moving inside my tummy. When we reached the clinic, I kept on thanking our tenant who brought me in the clinic, he is such a good person, I think God gave him to me to guide me and brought me in the clinic immediately…to save me and my baby.

In the clinic, I think there were 3 patients before me. The assistant of my OB-gyne got my BP and my weight. She talked to me and ask me to calm because my OB-gyne will check me immediately right after the 3 patients. As I waited, I keep on touching my tummy to feel my son, gladly that he keep on moving, but suddenly, I felt pain, at first the pain is tolerable…but slightly the pain getting worse. Then my OB-gyne called me and I immediately went to her clinic. Then he saw the blood, she explained to me that she really need to do an emergency CS but she needs to do an ultrasound first, to check why there’s a bleeding and to check what is the age of the fetus. I am scheduled to give birth on June 21, 2011, so it’s about a month to go before the right time to give birth. During the ultrasound, my doctor told me that on medical term, I experiencing Placenta Privia Totalis-Placenta positioned first to come out rather than the baby as far as I understood.

That was the explanation of my OB-gyne, but for some, I experienced bleeding because of some stress happened in my life. I think there are 3 major stressful event happened. First, when my father was confined to the hospital for about 1 week due to mild stroke. During his confinement, I did all the things in the hospital and I even to go there after office. Second is the stress in my work, a lot of things to do, some reports, talking to some people and many more. Lastly is the footbridge that I need to pass through every day before going home, Whew!!!Those stress happened in my life.

The operation…the emergency CS…the feelings…the scary moment…soon…
