When was the last time you had an LSS or Last Song Syndrome? Well, we all do experience this and for this season of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino you'll definitely will have an LSS with the movie where real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos with today's most sought band, Ben&Ben are the cast.

The LSS or Last Song Syndrome is a film about Sara (played by Gabbi) and Zak (played by Khalil), who are an aspiring musician and a software engineer, respectively. And just like any other individual, their comfort is music in which they follow the upcoming indie-folk band called Ben & Ben.



The entire band members of Ben&Ben are also casted in this movie where they play the roles of themselves.

During the bloggers conference which was held in Tipsy Pig in Timog, QC, a lot of stories were disclosed and shared by the cast and the producers. Here are some of the stories that might interest you to know.  "Gabbi and Khalil were casted separately that the producers didn't have any idea that they are real-life couple." and "Ben&Ben is one of the bands that the couple loves to listen to."


“LSS  or Last Song Syndrome is directed by Jade Castro under Globe Studios, Dokimos Media Studios Inc. and Ben&Ben.

The film will be one of the films that will be showing on September 13 to 19, 2019 as part of the PPP celebration.
A little background about Gabbi Garcia, she's from the Kapuso Network who starred in some of the teleseryes like “Pamilya Roces”, “Sherlock Jr.”, and “Encantadia.” Also, she was part of the film, “Meant to Beh” in 2017.

For Khalil, he is one of the actors under the Kapamilya Network who was part of many TV series such as “Bagani”, “La Luna Sangre”, and “A Love to Last.” Also, he was part of different movies like "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: Forever is not Enough", "The Achy Breaky Hearts", and "Honor They Father."

Perhaps one of the movie genre that I rarely see in theaters. One because I'm not used to seeing this kind of movie and second there are few movies that interest me.  VIVA Films and ALIUD Entertainment proudly present “ALL SOULS NIGHT”, an ImaginePerSecond production starring Andi Eigenmann, showing in cinemas on October 31.





From the imagination of Yam Laranas, the movie follows the story of Shirley, an all-around house helper who answered an ad for a quick three-day job to take care of a sick man. Ellen, the inhospitable wife, readily tells her the three important house rules: First, keep the doors and windows shut; Second, stay locked inside the house; and third, don’t get inside their room without permission.



Shirley shares a room with the couple’s young daughter, and observes that the child is a terrified mess. She tells Ellen about it, only to be forbidden to interfere in whatever she sees going on around the house. After the child tells Shirley that the man is not her father, nerve-racking incidents one after another are revealed to her. And she will not be spared from it.

This film perfect for Halloween is co-directed by Aloy Adlawan and Jules Katanyag. Both had written the screenplays of some of the biggest horror movies in Philippine cinema.

 Adlawan is known for his work in “Ouija” which was awarded PinakaPasadong Dulang Pampelikula at the 10th Pasado Gawad Sining Sine by the Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro, and the highly-acclaimed “Signus” which won numerous awards, such as Best Foreign Film at the 2007 Lone Star International Film Festival in Texas and won Best International Thriller at the 2008 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. He also wrote “Sundo”, “T2”, “Tumbok”, “Third Eye”, and segments in “Shake, Rattle and Roll” movies.
Katanyag’s body of work as a writer includes “Shake, Rattle and Roll” (12 and 13), “Bampirella” (TV series, 2011), “Darna” (TV series, 2009), and “Victor Magtanggol” (TV series, 2018). As a director, he won the Special Jury Prize in Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival for the movie “Si Magdalola at ang mga Gago” (2016).

Yam Laranas, who gave us the movie “The Echo” (also known as “Sigaw” which won for him a Special Award at the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Film), serves as the Creative Head.







With the remarkable background of the filmmakers, it’s no wonder why Andi Eigenmann accepted the role.

 

The actress is no longer a city girl and now prefers to live near the ocean, as evident in her Instagram posts. Andi won Best Actress in the 2016 FAMAS Awards for the movie “Angela Markado”.

The story of the movie revolves around Mamu which is played by Paolo Ballesteros, a gay man whose life takes a sudden turn after knowing that he has a 7-year-old son with a woman (played by Solenn Heussaff) from his past.


During the Bloggers’ Conference, Director Eric Quizon describes his impressions and how his actors work on the set. He clearly described Paolo Ballesteros’ comedic work at par with his father, Dolphy. The timing, the punchline, and the way it was cleverly delivered. With Solenn Heussaff, he shared that he thought she was maarte but everything was thrown away after their first shooting day. While Marcus Cabais, according to Director Eric he’s going to be a star.

The director and stars describes their work/ shooting was light and there were no stress and there were no pa-diva effect. What’s more interesting is that they present their every work as light, lively and fun .




For all the mommies out there, I’m pretty sure you’ll be intrigue to watch the movie “My 2 Mommies” because of its title and of course on how the story would end up. It’s not easy being a mom and it’s not easier playing a role of a mom.

Other stars who joined this wonderful, light and inspiring movie are Ms. Maricel Soriano, Joem Bascon and some other stars that will pinch you in the heart.

The first time Vhong Navarro and Lovi Poe paired in a movie was one of the episode of "Shake, Rattle and Roll XVI", a horror movie. This time they are together again in a big screen with no holds bar with their crazy antics as Vhong and Lovi's character switched bodies. Also this is the first time Lovi gone all out in a comedy film. Woke Up Like This hits the cinemas. A belly laughing trip will definitely rave the cinemas.
Woke Up Like This or WULT brings something different, something refreshing and very millennial. Though the story of body switching is not new, the writers, director and casts assured that this is something different. Funny, hilarious and crazy, this film brings out the funny side of Lovi and the feminine side of Vhong.
Vhong also shared that the movie is somewhat similar to the film Hot Chick, where body and soul of the main characters switched.
In "WULT," Vhong made sure that the audiences would be even more entertained with his comic antics. He plays the role of Lando, dubbed as the king of the Basketball Court. A hardcore cager, he is a dutiful son who takes on the role of the head of the family after his father (played by Joey Marquez) meets an accident and injures himself on the court.

Unfortunately, Lando can be unsportsmanly at play and his dream of being part of a big basketball league is sidelined when he wakes up one day being in the body of a woman he doesn't even know.
Lovi plays the character Sabrina, tagged as the Ramp Queen. Beautiful, sexy, and very competitive.

Her fate as a most sought-after model vying for the Supermodel of the Whole Wide Philippines title will change when she finds herself trapped in a man's body.
The switch of Lando and Sabrina's body is a mystery that made the "WULT" movie an endless turn of comic situations.

Also this the "WULT" movie is also the comeback partnering of Vhong and Bayani.
"WULT" is megged by new director Joel Ferrer. He is an actor, writer and director best known for his projects like "Baka Siguro (2015), "Blue Bustamante (2013) and "Hello World" (2013). His works have been cited for their clever dialogue and conversational comedy. "WULT" is his directorial debut for mainstream cinema.
"WULT" is also casts by some of the best comedians like Joey Marquez and Bayani Agabayani.
Sexy Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Cora Wadeell is being introduced in the film while Dionne Monsanto, Ynna Asistio and child actor Raikko Mateo plays some of the important roles in the film.
Teaser have already made everyone laugh and it will definitely spread belly laughs in cinemas nationwide on August 23. "Woke Up Like This" is the latest offering of Regal Entertainment, the same company that produced Ai-Ai de las Alas' blockbuster hit, "Our Mighty Yaya."

It's another pride for the Filipino people and we really did show in a talent we're really proud of, what else but singing. Not only that we're being known locally or in Asia but also in the whole wide world. It has been a mark that whenever there's a singing competition Pinoys are always one of the participants. It was really great and a proof of that there's another Filipino who sings her way to the top, Julia Banda who won 4 golds and a silver at World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA). Julia won 4 golds under the category of Pop, Rock , Gospel and Open Music and 1 silver medal for her Broadway performance. She sure make us really proud.
Julia Banda's true name is Kristina Julia Marie G. Banda her name is taken from her parents name. Julia started singing at the age of 4, her childhood favorite singer was Britney Spears. Now that she's 19 years old, she loves the singing style of Jaya and Jonalyn Viray, according to her they influence her when it comes to music.
Julia shares also that she is now entering 4th year College at Miriam College taking up BS Psychology. During the Blogcon, she mentioned that her parents are both deaf and mute, and she's really proud of them because they really supported her all throughout her journey despite of their difficulties. Her Titas are big help for her in communicating with her parents. She was taught how to communicate through sign language.
Julia is hoping that her parents would hear her performances, specially when she competed at the WCOPA, but still she really love them because they are still with her watching her performances though they can't hear. She shared that she accepted wholeheartedly the situation of her parents because this what God gave her. On the other hand, all her siblings are all normal and no one inherit the disablity of their parents."Bawing-bawi po sila sa amin kasi madadaldal po kaming lahat" Julia shared.

I personally asked her about what happened after WCOPA 2014, Julia shared that he worked with Talents Manila, she even do front act performances, like Ima Castro, Jake Vargas, Jasmin Curtis and Paolo Avelino. She even have a duet with Jose Mari Chan singing the ever famous "Christmas in Our Hearts".








Long journey to this promising singer, but with her undying talents plus her winning performances, Julia Banda will achieve her success and fame with the help and guidance of her titas. Continue to perform and entertain other people and you'll achieve what your hearts is longing for.

Who wouldn't know Papa P??? Well, I've known him since I was a teenager. Remember the Sprite ads on TV with Toni G shouting "I Love You Piolo!!!", well if you're on that league then you know what I'm saying. Perhaps that was the time he was climbing on top of his career.
Now that his at his 40s, there are so many information that he had shared to bloggers and media during his Birthday BlogCon. I can say that he is truly an outspoken person that he does not mind whatever you ask about him and take note he definitely answers it wholeheartedly. That was a very nice gesture Papa P!
What's more interesting about Papa P is that he is a shy type of person. Of which doesn't show that much. I can say that we're almost the same before when it comes to shyness because my family and friends knows that I am a very shy person and with an inferiority complex as well.

I find it hard to overcome with myself but just like Papa P's words of wisdom to himself  that he is a work in progress and as a result he was able to overcome his shyness. It's hard on my side to overcome it because I'm no celebrity but thankful enough I was able to put up against shyness and made a champion out of me. Perhaps shyness is innate in both of us that there are instances that we cannot avoid but stay as shy as we are.

When Piolo was asked about the things that make him "Kilig". His answer awe everyone, because the things that makes "kilig" or the giggly thing is his son Inigo Pascual, he even coined it as another description and called it #connection. Casts of Dormitoryo Lauren Young, Joyce Ching, Ruru Madrid, Enzo Pineda, Ashley Nordstrom, and Annicka Dolonius are present to giveway for the inquiries and information that bloggers would want to know about this newest TV Series in GMjA.  With vibrant moods glaring eyes, these cast enjoys the moment of question and answer. 


This series entitled Dormitoryo is something that is new from the usual Sunday afternoon stories that teens and moms watch.   The story is about an incoming freshman of Mass Communication student named Hazel Mendoza which is played by Lauren Young.   It is about her search for an answer about the death of Maika Benitez, played by Winwyn Marquez, who died in the same dormitory.  The death may looks like an accident for some but it is a mystery for Hazel and she is one of those who's curious to know more about it.




Some of the artists revealed many things about themselves during the blog conference and one of the questions they were asked to answer was about their liking horror movies.   Most of them answered truthfully that they do watch horror movies but didn't liked it very much and they're all scared of horror stories.
