Opening at SM City Pampanga Amphitheater, SM Cinema’s “Movies at Sundown” allows guests to watch movies on the big screen while observing social distancing rules set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF). Starting today, Friday, July 31, 2020, it will open to the general public featuring the movies’ “Train to Busan 2: Peninsula” and “My Spy.

The “SM Cinema Drive-in: Movies at Sundown” experience

A first in the Philippines, SM Cinema’s drive-in theater takes Filipino viewers to a new horizon of movie-watching.

Guests will be assigned their own parking spots to be guided by traffic marshalls. Once settled, spectators can see the film of their choice on a 20m x 8m screen raised 3-feet above the ground, and will be asked to tune in to a specific frequency on their car’s FM radio to broadcast the audio straight into their vehicles.

Guests can also choose the 6:30PM or 8:50PM schedules from July 31 to August 2. In the succeeding weeks, schedules will be every Thursday to Sundays at 6:45PM. And what’s a drive-in cinema without movie snacks? For a ticket price of only P400 per person, this gives viewers the chance to relish in a new cinematic experience paired with a free Regular Popcorn, Bottled Water, and Beef Franks from SnackTime.

Optimizing the best view for all guests, two (2) persons can be inside the car and a maximum of four (4) guests will be allowed. There are many reasons to enjoy Christmas. For me,  I think I lost count of how many times I tried to make our Christmas celebration different from the other, but then again I would still want my family's Christmas Celebration the best ever here in the Philippines. Am I right Mommies?

For this year, I think we've got something different as a start because celebrating with the family is great and with more reason to enjoy. Besides my sister-in-law lives in Lancaster.

Also, the 20-foot family sculpture called "Perpetuity" created by award-winning Filipino Atist Merlito Gepte, was blessed. The art symbolizes the happy, united and active family that Lancaster New City is home to.

Joko Anwar, the multi-awarded director from Indonesia is back with another critically acclaimed horrifying film “Pegabdi Setan,” “Satan’s Slaves” in English.
The film tells the story of a family of four who must take evil head-on after their mother dies. Featuring plenty of scares and a shocking plot twist, the film is set in 1981, one year before the classic horror movie was set.

Shot only in 18 days in mostly chronological order. The longest part of the production was finding the right house with the perfect atmosphere and tone. Approximately 3 months were spent on finding it.

The film reunites director Joko Anwar with two of his muses which are Tara Basro, whom he had worked with in A Copy of Mind (2015), and Asmara Abigail, whom he had worked with in his short film Jenny.
