PLDT Home’s newest campaign video circles on redefining relationships and creating deeper emotional bonds in the family by rediscovering one’s strongest connections at home. The short film “Rediscover Home” depicts the changes between the normalcy people used to enjoy pre-quarantine, and the life they now know in the new normal.

The video starts with the sudden announcement of the community quarantine, and how this compelled families to postpone the events they were looking forward to – from upcoming trips to exciting fiestas, quiz nights, videoke nights, travels, and get-togethers. Despite these unprecedented changes, families found new ways to bond together such as family dinners, online shopping, and movie nights at home. Whatever lifestyles they are used to and different social status they are in, one thing is common: these families rediscovered the happiness and bond in simple things inside their homes.

“Rediscover Home” highlights that although many enjoyable activities have been put on hold for now, nothing compares to the joy that comes in rediscovering one’s home, creating deeper and meaningful relationships, and enjoying new bonding activities no matter how simple it can be as long as you’re in the company of the people that truly matter to you - family.

Happy New Year everyone! Goodbye 2019 and Hello 2020! This is to welcome the new year here at my blog and thank you for all my readers who support me throughout, Thank You So Much.

The family never gets tired of preparing foods for the new year celebration, especially me because I have 2 kids who longing to have even just a simple celebration just the 4 of us. Yah! I did prepare some foods that my kids love it and requested to have in our table.

For this year, simple food for a simple family like us. For Kuya Maki, he loves Graham Cake, while Playfull Gelo likes Pork Tonkatsu and Siomai, yeah I included that food that my kids love it. A picture taking before the celebration to capture the bonding moments that we have.

I hope that this year will be fruitful and will have more happiness, cross finger! The year 2019 was full of struggle, hardship, and sadness, I guess, that is why I'm praying and claiming to make 2020 bountiful, abundant, and blessed. This is not only for me and my family but to you, my readers, as well. Thank You!

Okay, it's so serious, haha. To make the moment memorable. I just want to share our Tira Tira Party! Tira Tira means leftover food, for sure all of us experience it, right? Even a simple celebration with few foods in our table still we cannot finish it all in one sitting. Like, the salad and ham, we can't finish it all.

Just to have a simple celebration because we just stayed in the house, I made a tira tira party at the veranda of the 3rd house in our compound, the house of my Kids' GrandMother/Lola in the side of my hubby's family.

I just did a ham and egg sandwich because we had many leftovers of ham. We really can't finish all of that. I prepared 5 different sandwiches for my loved ones. I just want to share it because I am happy to prepare it for them and laughing as while preparing for it because I realized that even though we are one family, still, each of us has different likes when it comes to food.

Here are the 5 sandwiches in our Tira Tira Party
Sandwich No. 1 is for Nanay/Lola Digna and Tatay/Lolo Lito. I just prepared 1 ham and egg sandwich with fries for them. Nanay just cut it into halves for the both of them already because they can't even finish 1 sandwich at all. Tatay is already bedridden so only Nanay joined us.
Sandwich No 2 is for Kuya Maki, I made ham and egg sandwich with fries with Ketchup and mayo condiments as a dip. He loves ketchup and mayo for his fries. I am so thankful that Kuya Maki doesn't have a fever during the New Year's eve celebration. He has a fever for 2 days (Dec 30 and 31). Thank God.
Sandwich No. 3 is for me, just ham and egg with fries for me. While munching my foods, my youngest son Playfull Gelo asked for more fries from me, of course, I gave it all to him and he gave me a big smile, I just loved it!
Sandwich No. 4 is for Playfull Gelo, is just a plain egg sandwich and fries. He doesn't want a circle ham he wants a square ham, according to him, He just wants the taste of the square ham. I am happy because he finishes it all.
Sandwich No. 5 is for my hubby, Marco. I prepared 2 ham and egg sandwiches with fries. Yah! he finished it all in one sitting, I know his tummy after all.

We also have Biko from Nanay/Lola Digna, Halayang Ube from Nanay Letty, Salad from Mama/Lola Lolit and my Graham Cake. We have a chit chat together and a full tummy afterward.

I am happy that my family loves whatever food I preparing for them. Thankful that I have a skill to cook different dishes as well and they like it and most of the time requesting their favorites. I love them so much that's why I am always happy when I am cooking. And that concludes our #TiraTiraParty.

Last week, McDonald invited me and my kids to experience this year summer workshop though the actual workshop is a 5-day activity, they let the media kids experienced it in 1 day.


My kids are really enjoying the day, as they enter in the function room where the activity is happening, the staff welcomed the kids by giving them their Mcdo Tshirt, name tags, bags, and hats. According to Mcdonald's all participant will get the limited-edition Kiddie Crew Workshop shirt, bag, ID lace together with artwork materials, their very own set of badges every after activity and meals for all workshop days for just PhP595. More than the exciting Kiddie Crew goodies, kids will also get a chance to make new friends over the summer vacation.

Last year, close to 40,000 kids all over Philippines enjoyed the 5-day workshop with its several activities such as burger-making, design-your-apron activity, singing  and dancing sessions plus the fun restaurant on-floor training like Drive thru and front counter activities that help develop their skills and also instill important values such as hard work, discipline and teamwork. Friday night, it's gimmick time again! Well, my kids really love to go out but unfortunately not all the the time.  Though, we see to it that every time we have a date we make sure that they always enjoy the day with us.

It's Friday and this is the day that Daddy will come from his out of town office.  I set this date to have a family day and to have just a little break for my eldest Maki, because this weekend we need to review for his monthly exam that will start this coming Monday.

So, it is very unusual for me to bring my kids and rode on a jeepney alone.  Well, its funny because my Father-in-Law accompany us to the terminal to ride a jeep and then when we reached the Mall, Daddy is already there, waiting.

So we have our tickets processed first before getting what to eat.  By the way, just want to thank Nikole Parungao-Maturan of www.chubbychitchat.com for the tickets.  Thank you very much "Sa Uulitin!".  And special thanks also to Star Cinema for the tickets.   As promised Nikole that I'll bring the whole barangay, hahaha.  We did have it on separate dates.



Before we watched movie, we bought first popcorn, the Kettle Corn and then we spent our dinner first at Maxs. We have little time to eat, so we have on our table the all time favorite Max's chicken and now our favorite Adobo rice plus their promo from the Max's Calendar, the sweet and sour Fish.





We had a full tummy and we truly enjoyed the dinner.  My kids are familiar with Vice Ganda, so they expected laugh trip from this movie and gladly that they enjoyed it very much. Though the movie was aired last December but still it's not too late to watch it, hahaha.






So we finished the movie, and wait for my movie review about it. As we are going home, we just stroll at SM North Sky Garden and had a few pictorial.  They really enjoyed the day, and look at their attire, it's really cold and it feels like the Kids are in Baguio.

Well, bonding with my kids and my hubby is really a nice one, specially when you look at the smiling face of them, oh such a feeling that you give joy and happiness. 'Til our next bonding moment....
