Friday night, it's gimmick time again! Well, my kids really love to go out but unfortunately not all the the time.  Though, we see to it that every time we have a date we make sure that they always enjoy the day with us.

It's Friday and this is the day that Daddy will come from his out of town office.  I set this date to have a family day and to have just a little break for my eldest Maki, because this weekend we need to review for his monthly exam that will start this coming Monday.

So, it is very unusual for me to bring my kids and rode on a jeepney alone.  Well, its funny because my Father-in-Law accompany us to the terminal to ride a jeep and then when we reached the Mall, Daddy is already there, waiting.

So we have our tickets processed first before getting what to eat.  By the way, just want to thank Nikole Parungao-Maturan of www.chubbychitchat.com for the tickets.  Thank you very much "Sa Uulitin!".  And special thanks also to Star Cinema for the tickets.   As promised Nikole that I'll bring the whole barangay, hahaha.  We did have it on separate dates.



Before we watched movie, we bought first popcorn, the Kettle Corn and then we spent our dinner first at Maxs. We have little time to eat, so we have on our table the all time favorite Max's chicken and now our favorite Adobo rice plus their promo from the Max's Calendar, the sweet and sour Fish.





We had a full tummy and we truly enjoyed the dinner.  My kids are familiar with Vice Ganda, so they expected laugh trip from this movie and gladly that they enjoyed it very much. Though the movie was aired last December but still it's not too late to watch it, hahaha.






So we finished the movie, and wait for my movie review about it. As we are going home, we just stroll at SM North Sky Garden and had a few pictorial.  They really enjoyed the day, and look at their attire, it's really cold and it feels like the Kids are in Baguio.

Well, bonding with my kids and my hubby is really a nice one, specially when you look at the smiling face of them, oh such a feeling that you give joy and happiness. 'Til our next bonding moment....

Just got a chance to meet Hi-5 members a few days ago.  Too bad Lauren wasn't there when I meet them but it was great to meet again Stevie and Dayen and the newest members Ainsley and Mary.   I and son, Maki, got a chance to personally met them. 

This coming December 13 to 15 Hi-5 will be having their Live stage show at the SM Aura's Samsung Hall entitled Hi-5 House Party.  This will be Hi-5's debut to their new cast line up.

Stevie and Lauren welcome newcomers Dayen Zheng, Ainsley melham and Mary Lascaris to the stage in a Dance Party extravaganza.  Hi-5's favorite friend DJ Chats will be the "party meister" spinning discs and keeping everyone on their toes.


With the new cast line up this will be Hi-5's first live "concert style" stage show and after a big shout out to fans of over 100,000 on Facebook to find out their most loved songs, the show will feature Hi-5's most popular song line up.  They will also feature some sneak-peek of the songs in the new revamped series "Hi-5 House" due to the world premiere in Australia and New Zealand on Nickelodeon last 6th of December.

Some of the classic favourites are L.O.V.E and "Ready or Not" will have audience singing along and joining in with the new songs like "Dance with the Dinosaurs" and "Come On In" performed for the very first time on stage.

I'm pretty sure moms and dads are looking forward for this family event.  There will be familiar party games with a Hi-5 twist that everyone can enjoy.   Lots and lots of music and dancing because that's what Hi-5 House is all about.

During the Fun Day, my kids really loved the activities in the event, it is very memorable to us and to my kids too, because this is the first time that we've watched the new "Superbook" and what's more great is that its free.  Since then they are already watching it in the television. My husband and I are really proud with our kids because they are enjoying the series and other tv shows that we introduce to them, specially they learn more Christian Values in Superbook.


Aside from the free showing of "Superbook" they also enjoyed the coloring activity. They really mingled on some of the Inaanak of "Ninong Max's".

The event was very successful indeed. Let us expect for another event from Max's Restaurant and hopefully an event like this, hopefully soon.

Kids do enjoy cartoon characters and they love watching them whether on TV or movies or even in events.  When with the kids, parents feel like they were still kids, especially when accompany the little one watching movies or an event for the kids.

Summer means fun and there are plenty of activities in store for the kids and for the whole family.  Some of these are outing, summer workshops and many more.  These are the easiest way to bond with kids.




In line with this, SM Supermalls launched the Biggest Summer CartoonFest and one of their malls, the SM City Fairview, launched their part of Cartoon Fest last April 11 which I attended together with my kids.  The kids were very excited when I said they'll be coming with me and when I mentioned that they'll be seeing different cartoon characters though I know that my youngest son is having problem with mascots.  I'm worried about him that he might have trauma seeing plenty of mascots.  But of course I wanted my youngest son to overcome his fear. 


We came there early, about an hour before the event started.  My eldest son Maki, kept on asking when will it start because he is so excited.  While my youngest son Gelo was observing.   When the program started, different cartoon characters came out one by one, as if they were coming out of the TV screen.  Gelo, my youngest son, hugged me tightly which shows a sign that his beginning to get scared of the mascots.  So I hugged him back and assure that there's nothing to get scared of and little by little his fear of the mascots were taken away, a bit, specially when he saw Lorax.  Lorax is one of the animated movie character that he love to watch and I think my kids watch the movie "The Lorax" twice a day.  To finally let him overcome his fear I tried to go near to the mascots and have a picture with them.

It was a great experience for us and it was amazing.  Giving the chance to explore and enjoy the moments with your kids and introduce some of the cartoon characters generation by generation.

SM really touches the heart of the kids and kids-at-heart.   SM does live up with their tag line "we've got it all for you." 

SM introduced different cartoon characters from different eras way back in my generation like Hello Kitty which is my long time favorite, Bugs Bunny that I used to watch,  Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie which are all cast of the Sesame Street.   Today's generations are the Lorax, Spongebob and Patrick, Dora and Boots, Angry Birds, Despicable Me Minions and Hop.  In addition to this, they also include the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barbie Ballerina, Polly Pocket, Monster High, DC Comics Heroes, Tom and Jerry, Garfield, Robby Rabbit and Ironman.  So, all in all there are 38 cartoon characters that can be seen in the "SM Cartoon Fest".




So Mommies and Daddies this is a great chance to let the kids enjoy summer for they can have a meet and greet with different cartoon characters.  They won't just watched it on TV but actually get a chance to touch them and have a picture as well.  This will be featured on 44 malls nationwide in all SM Supermall until May 31.

Today is an Easter Sunday and our day started early and we got plenty of activities, especially for my kids.


I did say we started early so we woke up at exactly 4 AM to prepare and attend the dawn Church service as we celebrate Easter Sunday.  For some they do the "Salubong" thing but for us we celebrated easter with songs and praises.  As we head on to the church my eldest son asked "Mommy, it's still night why we are going to the church", I laughed, so my husband explained the reason why we are going to church.  Easter Sunday is the day that Christ risen from the dead.




After the service, we had our breakfast time first, since it's still morning we decided to walk for about 10 to 15 minutes going to Jollibee, to have our breakfast.  My kids were so happy, they are so makulit na, but seeing them grow up make me smile.

After the breakfast we went home, took a bath and prepared our things then we head on to SM North to celebrate the Easter Sunday for the kids.


The sun was up when we got to the place and the weather is really hot.  The heat is felt outside but still we want our kids to have an outdoor activity.  We spend this Easter Sunday at the the mall.


Kids were happy during the event and so our kids, they did most of the activities like the egg painting, the egg hunting which I think found almost 12pcs of eggs with candies inside, hahaha, he shared his eggs to his little brother.


There was also an egg hunting contest which Maki joined, at first he looses the game and found nothing.  Well there is a saying that "try and try until you succeed", so maki try it again for the 2nd time and he was able to won with a loot bag of goodies as a prize.   Lucky kid!


Wait, but, there's more, "Hop Bunny", kids should hop like a rabbit to reach the end spot. So Maki joined again, but unfortunately he did not make it. Another try and this time I whispered on his ear, "You can make it Maki'.


So Maki did his best until he reached the finish line, yes, he won! I think, my son overcome now his shyness a little. This kind of activity help me and my husband to boast his self confidence.
