Okay, for so many running events that I've been invited finally I gave in! Together with my hubby we were able to attend the celebration of health with Robinsons Supermarket as initiator of its event the 7th Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run. The event aims to encourage more people to get engage in getting fit together with a buddy that's why they had this running event with someone else. So both of the runners should finish the run together. This is a healthier and fun way for buddies to enjoy the run.

The event happened last July 6, 2014 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, though we didn't run much it was still a fun event. Together with my hubby we were and friends, of whom we exchanged buddies, we were able to grasp the whole idea of running with a buddy. Someone to encourage the other to do more. Personally I enjoyed it and had a great time even though I wasn't able to run with my hubby still it was fun having Marjorie as my running mate.

According to Jody Gadia, Robinsons Supermarket General Manager, "We organize the Fit & Fun Buddy Run every year not only to promote health and wellness but also to strengthen the bond for family and friends."

The participants for this year in the 5k and 10k events numbered to around 4,500 recreational runners, including the members of the national rugby team, the Philippine Volcanoes, and other celebrities. All finishers of the run are treated with some groceries and aside from the goodies runners also enjoyed the offerings of each booth present in the event.
Top pair finishers received prizes from Robinson Supermarket officials.  5k winners won a trip to Coron, Palawan while the 10k winners bagged a trip for two to Phuket, Thailand.  While the 2nd to 5th place finishers took home Gift Certificates as consolation prizes.  Special awards and gift pack were also given by event sponsors to outstanding race buddies.
