When it comes to comedy, one comedienne comes into mind that brings fun and hilarious antics, the  Comedy Concert Queen, Aiai delas Alas. Just recently, she inks a contract under GMA Artist Center with the same entertaining spirit Comedy Concert Queen Aiai delas Alas continues to display to her loyal fans and supporters.

As expected from the comedy queen, she'll be doing a lot of fun things for the network with her multi-talent, from TV hosting to performing.


“Nag-decide ako to join GMA Artist Center kasi it’s time I pay back. Since 1990, taga-GMA na ako talaga, sila ang nagbigay sa akin ng chance na makilala noong struggling artist pa ako, noong ako ay bago pa sa industriya. Dahil ngayon 30th anniversary ko and sumabay din ako sa 70th anniversary ng GMA, para terno!”



Present in the contract signing ceremony held at the 17th floor executive lounge of GMA were Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun Ferrer, and Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora.

According to Aiai, she still has a lot to bring to the table.

Aiai invites her fans to watch out for her upcoming projects, “Napaka-daming ganap. Mayroon akong soap, ‘The Clash Season 3,’ at mayroon din akong out of the country shows na hindi natuloy pero matutuloy na after COVID-19.”


Moreover, she hopes that this new partnership will open more doors for her. A few of her fellow Kapuso artists she looks forward to work with in the future are Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Rocco Nacino, EA Guzman, Sanya Lopez, among others.

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) welcomed the Kapuso Stars as advocates of public service to encourage more youth to take part in GMAKF's disaster, relief, education, and health programs.
GMAKF led by its founder and ambassador, Ms. Mel Tiangco, welcomed into the Kapuso Foundation fold the following Kapuso artists;

Sofia Pablo and Will Ashley (Unang Hakbang Sa Kinabukasan - Education Support)

The Kapuso artists/advocates committed their time and effort for GMAKF's mission to uplift the lives of underprivileged Filipinos all over the country through the provision of quick-response disaster relief operations; the undertaking of health, nutritional and medical projects; and the carrying out of developmental programs designed to promote education.
Versatile and talented dramatic actor, Rocco Nacino, feels enthusiastic to promote GMAKF's health and nutrition projects such as Bisig Bayan and Give-A-Gift projects. Apart from this showbiz stint, Rocco is a registered nurse and has a master's degree in nursing, which explains his affinity for GMAKF's health projects. He also recently enlisted himself as a reserve in the Philippine Navy and is part of the powerhouse cast of the Pinoy adaptation hit Korean series Descendants of The Sun, as well as the second season of GMA News TV's health talk, show The Healthy Juan. Aside from these shows, he is also one of the lead stars of the romantic-comedy film Write About Love which is an official entry to the 45th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF)
Rocco is very honored to be part of the Kapuso Foundation because he can continue what he and her mother doing for those who needs help not just to a few people but to more people where he can lend his advocacy. He enjoys parting knowledge and teaching to give awareness on what GMAKF projects all about.
On the other hand, Beautiful Justice star and budding chef/entrepreneur Bea Binene commits to help spread awareness on the need to support GMAKF's Operation Bayanihan relief operations. Bea has noted that more natural calamities are happening in the country and more public donations are needed to sustain GMAKF's efforts when disasters strike to ensure that immediate aid can be given to the needy.
Bea is very thankful with GMAKF because since she was 6 years old she is volunteering until now. According to her, she will continue to serve the welfare of the beneficiaries of Kapuso Foundation. She is focusing on disaster relief and she's very much willing to go to places where people are needing help. She commented that she would really try those who are in need and those who had or will experience calamities.

Kapuso host and actress Patricia Tumulak, who is a graduate of Early Childhood Education, understands the needs of sturdy classrooms all over the Philippines. Patrica is keen on drumming up support for GMAKF;s Kapuso School Development program which undertakes the building and rehabilitation of Schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, as well as the Kapuso Tulay Para Sa Kaunlaran, wherein the foundation spearheads the construction of concrete and steel bridges in remote areas of the country to connect communities  to school and markets, in a bid to encourage learning and trade. Currently, Patricia is also part of the Afternoon Prime series Magakaagaw.

 
Patricia is super happy that GMA artist center gave her the opportunity to join the GMAKF to pursue her passion for helping the foundation with its project about the education program. She added that she will raise awareness to be part of this program to be active and to make youth realize the importance of education.
Lastly, Prima Donnas stars Sofia Pablo and Will Ashley are likewise thrilled about joining GMAKF's distribution of school supplies to tens of thousands of children in need all over the Philippines A pillar project of GMAKF is the annual Unang Hakabang Sa Kinabukasan - which distributes sturdy school bags with complete sets of school supplies to kinder and grade 1 students nationwide. Being students themselves, Sofia and Will have their sights set on standing up for the rights of all children to have access to quality education and empowering them to make their dreams come true.

Showbiz royalty and Kapuso Leading Lady, Janine Gutierrez is once again set to enamor the audience with her acting skill and have moviegoers on the edge of their seats.
Apart from being a fashion muse, an international endorser, and a sought-after cover girl, Janine is undeniably one of the most regal actresses today. The GMA Artist Center Star is known to take on strong and fierce female roles that she embodies.





This year, she has played so many roles in the entertainment industry that made an undeniably great impact on many viewers. Some of her roles were Celestina, a young lady who is born with dragon-like features which were shown on GMA's Afternoon Prime Series Dragon Lady. She also took on the titular role of the tough and free-spirited Elise. She was also part of the 2016 Cinemalaya Film Dagsin, which has been shortlisted as a possible Philippine entry to the International Film Feature Category to the Oscars. So, basically, she had managed to fit herself into different roles just for this year and since 2019 hasn't ended yet, a new character made her one actress to watch.
This time around, she will showcase a different side of her as she proves her versatility in acting via the psychological thriller "Babae at Baril", where she plays a regular saleslady in a local department store. She lives a normal life until she finds a peculiar-looking gun right on her doorstep - a gun that gives her the power to do anything she wants, talk back to whoever she wants and even hurt anyone she wants.

Directed by Rae Red, Babae at Baril is an entry to this year's QCinema International Film Festival's Asian Next Wave Competition, It is one of the three Filipino titles that received a P1.5M production grant. Catch it in cinemas from October 13 to 22!

Sweet and Bubbly GMA Artist Center Star Kyline Alcantara marks another milestone in her career as she celebrates her 6th birthday with her first major concert dubbed as "Kyline TAKE FL16HT" at the SM Skydome on September 8. She is very thankful that GMA Network trusted her to showcase all her talent.




The young Kapuso performer is also set to launch her single "Fake Love" on the same day, under her first self-titled album from GMA Records. The album "KYLINE" which contains 6 songs and minus one versions of them, will be released on September 18 via iTunes, Spotify and over 180 digital stores worldwide. Pre-selling of "Fake Love" on iTunes begins on Sept 1 while pre-selling for "KYLINE" the album begins on Sept 8.
Kyline expressed her excitement for her latest feat and thanked her fans, whom she calls her "Sunflowers" for unwavering support.

"Sobrang happy and overwhelming at the same time kasi isang pangarap lang ito dati. Pinagdasal ko talaga ito kay God. Para ito sa mga Sunflowers ko kasi sila naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit unti unti kong nakakamit ang mga pangarap ko. The fresh-faced Kapuso artist, who is turning 16 on September 3, is most notable for her multifaceted performance in the hit GMA primetime series Kambal, Karibal as Cheska/Crisel.

Joining Kyline on her concert are fellow Kapuso stars Derrick Monasterio, Jeric Gonzales, Migo Adecer, James Wright and Kristoffer Martin.

Acting workshop is not just for those who wants to be in the limelight of showbiz career. Most of the artist that we idolize now wants to undergo training or workshop to enhance their capabilities and to challenge their selves in a most rigorous role that they want to experience.

In line with this, talents of GMA Artist Center will undergo a thorough Acting Workshop under Coach Anthony Vincent Bova, a prominent New York-based acting coach that came here in Manila to train GMA Artist Center stars. Bova is the artistic director of Bova Actors Workshop and the Ionica Theater in New York.

Also an actor, writer and artistic director, Bova is a protege of famed coach Eric Morris, who has taught some of the best actors in the Philippines, including Laurice Guillen, Johnny Delgado, Leo Martinez, Michael De Mesa and Joel Torre among others.

Coach Bova complimented the stars of GMA Artist Center "They're beautiful kids. A lot of the actors here, in general, are very grounded, very connected. They're not detached from themselves and that's  nice thing."
After his visit last February, the New York City professional acting teacher and his co-teacher, actress, Anna Feleo, will be conducting the "Empowerment" training, which focuses on the "emotional & psychological alignment for peak performance" of the artists.



Some of the stars who have undergone workshop with Coach Bova shared that they learned a lot, they were able to know what they are capable of, and of course they were able to learn to become a better actor. It was a memorable experience for the artists and they will really treasure it.

Bova will come back on January 2019 to conduct the culminating activity, which will showcase what the artists have learned throughout the year from his training program.

One of today's blooming young teen actresses and GMA Artist Center's award-winning teen actress Therese 'Teri' Malvar is marking her name in the entertainment industry. One of her starring movie in the horror flick entitled "Ilawod" gave her very first achievement. In the movie, Teri plays the character of Isla who is a malevolent water spirit that haunts innocent victims and lures them into danger.
Yours truly was able to have a chit chat with this gorgeous and bubbly teen actress in an event at Sip & Gogh. It was great and one of the first thing that I'll be squealing is that this little lady loves to paint. Since the place is about painting I was also forced to do painting even though I'm really bad at it. But it was a good experience.







Another thing that I'll be sharing is that this young Kapuso actress started her career in the indie scene which earned her local and international recognition. It was a big break in small movie that gave her the opportunity. Here are some interesting things and facts that you might want to know about Teri. Sshhh don't tell her that I squealed some here on this blog.

1. Teri won the Best Actress Trophy in the first CineFilipino Festival Awards for her role in "Ang Huling Cha Cha Ni Anita." Among the other nominees were Nora Aunor and Eula Valdes. Now that's some tough competition!
2. When Teri was cast for the lead role in "Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita," she had no acting background other than joining declamation contests in her school. She wasn't even supposed to audition for this film. 
3. At the age of 13, she is the youngest nominee of the Gawad Urian Awards for Best Actress. 
4. Last year, she took home the Best Actress Award at the 15th New York Asian Film Festival and 38th Moscow International Film Festival for her role in the indie film "Hamog." Along with actor John Lloyd Cruz, Teri is the first Southeast Asian actress to have won an award in the Moscow International Film Festival. 
5. Despite her many projects, Teri does not neglect her studies. She is currently a grade 9 student at the Sun Valley National High School in Parañaque.
6. In her free time, Teri unleashes her inner artist as she enjoys painting and doing calligraphy. 
7. Teri is also a certified book nerd! Harry Potter series and Tuesdays with Morrie are among her favorites. 
8. Not known by many, the 16-yeard old actress has a hidden talent for singing. 
9. Before she developed the passion for acting, Teri's dream was actually to become a nun.
10. Aside from Ilawod, Teri is also part of the indie film "Sakaling Hindi Makarating".

Mike Tan happily celebrated his 29th birthday at Infinite Blessed Home Care located at Don Antonio Heights, Quezon City. He shared his blessings through charily works. He spent time with the elders because it reminds him of his grandparents.



Mike Tan got the chance to mingle with the lolo's and lola's at the Home Care. He even sung a few songs with them, personally gave food and ate with them and had a small chit chat with the elderly. His glances shows how he respect the elderly that much like what we usually did. Most of our elders instructs as to "bless your lolo and lola" which most of today's teenagers forgets. They didn't know that it is one of the ways of showing respect to our grandparents. Good job Mike Tan!
As of the moment, Mike Tan is part of the GMA Afternoon Prime Teleserye, "Ika-6 na Utos". It tackles about married life and how important fidelity, loyalty and trust is in the family aside from love. Joining him in the teleserye are Ryza Ceno, Sunshine Dizon and Mr. Gabby Concepcion.



Mike Tan shared that there are lots of lessons to be learned in their teleserye, one of it is on how to handle if ever they encounter that kind of situation. Mike is very thankful as well because GMA continuously give him challenging roles that enhances his acting ability.
When Mike Tan was asked about what are the activities that makes him busy now, he shared that he is now busy with the Teleserye, planning the holiday vacation and do some training like swimming.

Derrick Monasterio is very excited with his upcoming album next year. Aside from his new single "Give Me One More Chance" they're still working out other songs to be featured on his album and it will be under GMA Records. If you ask me I only know him as an actor and a dancer. I mostly see him on his teleseryes like The Half Sister, Vampire ang Daddy Ko and Dangwa. Now Derrick offers more and he is now into singing. According to him singing is his first love.
During our interview with Derrick, he shared that he started acting. Now that his now known as an actor it is just right time to also share his talent in singing. On his album there will be original songs that he'll be singing and since his forte is more on the ballad side, expect more love songs from him.
2016 will be a fruitful one for Derrick, aside from his new single he will be having a new teleserye with Kapuso sweetheart Bea Binene entitled "Ana Abandonada". According to Derrick it is another blessing for him and he is looking forward to his new show because he will be working again with Bea, they've worked together with different show and has been part in Bea Binene's docu tv show in GMA News TV and he is also one of Bea's 18 roses during her debut.

Derrick said that he is very happy how GMA Network and GMA Artist Center is handling his career, so much opportunity for him to show all his talents. He would love to do a movie soon even an indie film.
