When two great actors with sense of humor joins together, it's chaotic, a mayhem and mirth! Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson joins and works together closely in this live action-comedy movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard". Their last work together was in 2013 in an animated film "Turbo". Well literary their voices worked together. So for me who's not much action would really make this movie something to watch with my hubby, of which I did.

Reynolds plays Michael Bryce, a Triple A-rated executive protection agent, while Jackson plays Darius Kincaid, one of the world’s most notorious hitman newly captured by the Interpol. For the love of his wife Sonia (Salma Hayek), who is also detained in jail, Kincaid agrees to be a star witness against the bloodthirsty tyrant Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman) in the International Criminal Court in exchange for Sonia’s freedom. But while Kincaid is being transported, his transport convoy is attacked by Dukhovich’s men. Interpol Agent Amelia Roussel (Elodie Yung) still manages to save Kincaid and turns him over to Bryce for protection. Within 24 hours, the two men must reach the trial court in The Hague. Though they can’t hide their contempt for each other, they must learn to unite against countless enemies coming at them from every angle.

Says Ryan Reynolds: “I love the bond between Bryce and Kincaid. These two guys couldn't be more polarized but as we move through the story they start to acquire begrudging love and respect for each other. There’s a bromance and several love stories all wrapped up in this incredible, crazy action story.”

Director Patrick Hughes, having worked with an all-star cast and plenty of action in Expendables 3, had the high- adrenaline chops that this movie required. He readily saw the potential for a chemical reaction between Reynolds as Bryce whom he describes as “over-analytical about everything, trying to control all the elements in his life, from his job to his love life”, and Jackson as Kincaid, who he says “always goes with his gut”. How the two go from “absolutely intending to murder each other to...learning something about relationships,” is truly something to look forward to.

On top of the comedy, the film boasts of great car chases, stunts and practical effects. Reynolds commends Hughes for helping them create “incredible action sequences that are suspenseful but also uplifting and fun rather than dark.”

To create the exhilarating action scenes the way Hughes envisioned them, stunt expert Greg Powell, whose long list of credits includes Skyfall, Harry Potter series, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, was recruited to join the team. According to him, “The biggest challenge was that with so many fights throughout the story, (they) had to find a way to keep each one fresh, different and fun.” The viewers are in for an adventure as they’ll see “cars, motorbikes, SUVs, police cars and even speedboats racing through the canals of Amsterdam,” he adds.

Apart from their “crazy fun jaunt through the roads of Europe”, Samuel L. Jackson reveals that the chance to work with Salma Hayek was what lured him to doing this film. In describing their role as husband and wife, the actor says, “Sonia loves Kincaid despite his many flaws – and because of her, Kincaid has learned a bit about romance…Salma and I are friends…it was a great coup for everybody to bring her into this project."

Perhaps the biggest challenge for Hayek was Sonia’s epic bar fight, which convinces Kincaid she’s the one for him. “I was sore for a week after we shot that,” she admits. “But I’m so happy that at 49 I am still kicking ass and able to do all my stunts.”

Just like Hayek, Reynolds and Jackson also did most of their stunts themselves. Jackson says, “There’s a lot of hand-to-hand in the film and it makes us look heroic which is part of the joy and what people want to see,” says Jackson. “It’s a high-energy movie.”

I was able to have a chance to interview Jhai-Ho and there was no dull moment at all, I like the way he throws some funny comments to make the interview lively. Jhai-Ho is a radio jock at MOR 101.9 and also a part of teleserye Pangako Sa’yo since then he has been receiving offers and one of them is this indie movie entitled Upline Downline. He is very grateful about his career now, because there are opportunities for him and that’s why he is doing his very best with his acting career. According to him, acting is really different from being a radio jock, but still he is very serious on doing his best. His role in Pangako Sa’yo is more on the comedic part while in this movie he is more on the serious part but with a touch of comedy.


With Upline Downline, he is portraying as a gay who owns a networking business and he is also in love with Alex Castro's played character. They will be business partners and eventually there will be struggles in both in his love life and even in his business that involves Alex's role. Will it be a tragic ending for Jhai Ho's role or will he cope up with it?
Featuring in the movie is Joseph Lim who is also into Networking. He was part of this movie so that he can also share his inputs based on his experience. He has been part of Networking in the late 90's and ever since then he has been making money and at the same time helping others as well to achieve what he has achieve. According to Joseph, he is proud of this project because it is very timely, it is time to educate the people how to be more productive and earn more while being secure of their future. Joseph Lim is AIM's Global Hall of Famer.
While Alex Castro who is really a versatile actor and one of a good looking in the showbiz industry. Alex will be portraying a bad guy which is according to him is very challenging that’s why he is doing his best to give justice on the role that has given to him. He will play a scammer in this movie and he will also trigger a big tragedy in this movie as well that people should watch out.

Mommies here's a movie that will enlighten you with regards to Networking, the ins and out and to eventually know if it is legit or not. Watch Upline Downline which will be shown on OCTOBER 28, 2015 in selected cinemas nationwide.

This mom is not a very huge fan of horror movies but I do get to watch sometimes if I like the story. So for this Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles which is the sequel of Tiktik, I think I’ll be crossing my fingers not to get scared much.

Aside from being part of a franchise, Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles also marks the comeback of GMA Films, being one of the film’s co-producers with Reality Entertainment and Agosto Dos. The franchise is formally inked with the momentous contract signing of the entities.
 Okay, this mom hasn’t watched the first part so I need to watch it first before seeing Kubot on the big screen. Just like the other bloggers who attended the blog conference, everyone have no clue what Kubot is really looks like. According to director Erik Matti kubot are mainly women which features their long hairs and whose abilities are more limited to morphing its hair into a tentacle-like mass, which they use to squeeze their victim’s innards out like gel. It gory enough to think of it but it is the local folklore.

According to director, Erik Matti, they have already conceptualized the story up to next sequel that’s why he needs to co-write with the writers just to make the story goes where he wanted it to go as a director. Just as always, direct to the point Erik Matti made every see through what he wanted to share and what he wanted for the movie viewers expects to see.

The story of Kubot happens two years after that whole tragedy in Pulupandan and is set in Manila. Macoy, the main character played by Dingdong Dantes just wants peace and quiet, not realizing that the aswang clans have a brewing problem. This time, Macoy will be fighting Doms, the character interestingly played by KC Montero. The main Kubot is played by Elizabeth Oropesa.

New additions in the cast include Isabelle Daza, Lotlot De Leon, Bogart the Explorer, Julie Ann San Jose and Abra. From the original cast, Joey Marquez and Ramon Bautista resurfaces as a different character. Introducing in the film in a special role is Hanna Ledesma.

If you’ve enjoyed watching the first part which is Tiktik, then you’ll definitely take on this next one. It’s a package of horror, comedy and action in just one movie.

Stars of “My Big Bossing” are Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Marian Rivera and Nikki Gil. The three stories are helm by three biggest directors in the industry namely Tony Y. Reyes, Marlon N. Rivera and Bb. Joyce Bernal.

The movie is the biggest-budget entry in the MMFF race, and boasts of the collaboration of three of the country’s biggest film production outfits: Octoarts Films, M-Zet TV Production and APT Entertainment.

“My Big Bossing” got three episodes of fantasy and wonder that the kids will definitely enjoy. Each stories got its own storyline. It features a star-studded cast led by the indomitable Bossing Vic Sotto, MMFF’s all-time box-office king and wonder child superstar Ryzza Mae Dizon in all three episodes.

Episode 1 entitled “Sirena” is directed by Tony Y. Reyes, and features the talents of Wally Bayola, Manilyn Reynes, and Pauleen Luna.

Episode 2 billed “Taktak,” directed by Marlon N. Rivera, is led Marian Rivera and Jose Manalo in the cast.

Episode 3 called “Prinsesa” is directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal, and puts Ryzza Mae Dizon in the spotlight alongside rising child star Alonzo Muhlach, the son of former child star Niño Muhlach, who will play the role of Alonzo’s dad in the movie as well.

“My Big Bossing’ is bigger and grander in scope this year because we are presenting three different stories in one film and each story was filmed independently of each other given that three different directors helmed each episode. No expense was spared in the overall production – costumes, design, special effects - particularly in the fantastical final episode. We just want to give the audience satisfying entertainment value. A week ago, this movie enthusiast mom attended a blog conference of the film D Possessed which starred by Vhong Navarro and directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal.
