Ever imagine what would it be if there's really an express train that comes with ghosts and everything that is frightening. Well, I don't want to see that for real. I'm a mom who doesn't believe in things that I don't see but if it gives me a chill then I'll be scared. Good thing that Nickelodeon's Takotown is only a fragment of imagination created for the Kids on the spookiest day of the year.

Nickelodeon presented the Takotown: Fright Express - a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience held at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall where it is expected to have over 4,000 fans treated to an afternoon packed with frightfully-fun tricks and treats, surprises and activities, with the highlight being the Spook Station's Terror Tour.

The perfect trick or treat activity for kids (and the young at heart), Nickelodeon's Takotown: Fright Express turned a usually scary Halloween extravaganza into an epic celebration, the Nickelodeon way. And with the Spook Station's unique and thematic areas, the haunted main attraction offered an unforgettable experience to families.

The Terror tour took guests on an exciting and interactive travel experience inside the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall. With four special train stops, kids departed for a journey to the Haunted Mansion, where they saw old, creepy-looking picture frames that had real-life costume characters do the scaring.


Along the Cemetery area, passengers weaved through cobwebs and encountered white ladies and ghosts, with skeletons all over the place, while floating coffins swarmed one of the train stops. Filled with spooky trees and a strange abandoned cabin, the Scary Jungle stop left guests screaming and asking for more.

At the opening of Takotown, attendees were treated to an exclusive screening of Nickelodeon's newest shows - School of Rock and Regal Academy. Live-action show School of Rock, based on a group of overachieving prep school students who band together and learn how to rock it out, was a hit. Regal Academy showed a hilarious and an exciting new take on some of the best-loved fairy tales, which focused on the adventures of Rose Cinderella, the newest student at Regal Academy.


A special activity area was also in-store for the thousands of Takotown fans. Apart from the Spook Station's Terror Tour, guests also took part in Nickelodeon-inspired stage games, patterned after some of the brand's well-loved shows, such as The Loud House, and The Fairly Odd Parents, for a memorable Halloween experience.

To complete the visit to Takotown, some of Nickelodeon's famous characters, like Bikini Bottom's SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, as well as PAW Patrol's Chase and Marshall, also made special appearances and delighted event-goers.

Perhaps Moms like me are always on watch for events for the kids and this Halloween month I just made sure that my kids aren’t left behind with the trick-or-treating. On our way to the event and walking on the streets going to SM Mall Of Asia sure made me notice kids dressed in costumes. They are also on the move to Nickelodeon’s ultimate scarefest, the “Mutant Mayhem”. It happened last October 31 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. It’s their Halloween treat for the whole family and as for mine, we enjoyed it very much. This year’s themed party paid homage to everyone’s favorite childhood heroes in a half shell, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Of course aside from green walking half shell there are also other mutants from Nickelodeon’s shows celebrating the supernatural in all its form, from the fairly mischievous to the downright menacing.
This year’s trick-or-treating event is packed with complete entertainment, attractions, games and freebies that made the afternoon a hauntingly memorable Halloween experience. As for our kids, Maki and Gelo, they did enjoy the place, the booths, some of the guys in costume and most especially the candies. Of course their Halloween trick-or-treating experience wouldn’t be complete without a pumpkin basket for the goodies.
Halloween is Halloween but to some kids gory costumes and monstrous make-ups aren’t cute to look at. This year’s costume contest was focused on the kids who stood out in the most creative, scariest or cutest looks. Winners of this contest took home spooktacular prizes and goodies.

Nickelodeon is giving fans everywhere another chance to lead their favorite Nick stars to victory in the Nickelodeon Slime Cup through the Victory Dance Competition. We all know that Moms are not much into sports but because of our kids we made sure that we’re there for them to enjoy and that’s what I did. Yes, as most of you knows I got two hyper active boys and actually three boys in the house, the youngest one is my Hubby. Hahaha! This event is the first ever Nickelodeon Slime Cup in the Philippines. This event aims to bring fun for the kids and their families through playtime that promotes a healthy lifestyle at the slimiest sports festival. The activity target kids ages from six (6) years old and above and their families can participate too. This Nickelodeon Slime Cup happened last May 31 at Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Center in Manila which lasted for 8 hours from 10 AM to 6 PM. Too bad we weren’t able to stay long in the event but the hours being there was just enough to be a part of the first Nickelodeon Slime Cup.

More than just an outlet for friendly competition among young boys and girls, the event aims to bring Nickelodeon’s brand of funny to kids while promoting playtime as a way to help them lead more active lifestyles.

The slime being a main ingredient to a number of the fun, sports-oriented activities, Nickelodeon Slime Cup invites kids and their families to play Nickelodeon character-themed games of golf, soccer, baseball, and more.

A major highlight to look forward to is the Streetball Challenge, a basketball competition open to the first 16 teams to register. Joining in on the slimetastic action are basketball superstars, who will mentor the final four teams. Watch out for who they are as the event date draws closer.

Rabbids Invasion, the newest animated series from Nickelodeon, is set to bring in the laughs and giggles.

Keeping viewers on their toes is a brand-new animated series headlined by indestructible and uncontrollable rabbit-like creatures who mysteriously land on Earth. Each episode revolves around them navigating the world in their own rabid way, disregarding social rules, laws and protocols. Hilarity ensues and all hell breaks loose in their non-stop quest for amusement. Hop on the crazy train with Rabbids Invasion, every Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am.


Movie buffs can also rejoice as Nickelodeon kicks off 2014 with a Nick at the Movies special. The teen flick centers on prep school scholar Nicholas Borelli, who gets his life turned upside down as he spends the summer in the tough neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York with Grandma Tutti and Uncle Frankie. The suspense and thrill continues in February as the girls “with an attitude” return for a totally hip, totally chic season. Homework, girl bonding, boy problems and crime-fighting? All in a day’s work for these cool chicks. Catch Totally Spies beginning February 3 at 2:30pm.

Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra: Book 2 stages a powerful return with more answers and even more questions.

Another heroine to watch out for is Korra, burning up the weekday TV sched with new episodes picking up from where the first book left off. For the follow-up series, she addresses the conflict between spirits and humans, as well as between the two Water Tribes. Korra’s fate takes a turn when Team Avatar and Tenzin’s family attend the Glacier Spirits Festival. There she finds herself being persuaded by her uncle, Unalaq, to be her spirit advisor, which her father and Tenzin disapprove of. It wasn’t until she discovers a secret from her past that she makes a decision to take up Unalaq as her instructor. Find out what happens and tune in to The Legend of Korra: Book 2, airing weekdays starting February 19 at 4:30pm.

Everyone’s favorite crime-fighting reptilian brothers are back on Nickelodeon with a new season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Rounding up the action extravaganza are brothers Leonardo, Michealangelo, Donatello and Raphael for an all-new season that screams “Booyakasha!”. A mutation situation is on hand with Kraang at large in New York City, littering the streets with mutagen canisters that could give rise to potentially dangerous mutant foes. What’s worse is the Kraang and Shredder team-up, a force set to destroy the ninja brothers, along with April O’Neil and new ally Casey Jones.
