When we talk about clothing, particularly Jeans, Jag always comes out in my mind. Perhaps the reason is that I seldom see Jag stores more often. Hahaha.
Recently, I was able to score a seat during the Philippine Fashion Week which features Jag Origins and what's more interesting is that the famous Nina Garcia of Project Runway and Marie Claire's creative director was there at the SMX Convention Center.
Of course Philippine Fashion Week wouldn't be about fashion if wouldn't go down the runaway. Presented down the runway was the creation of three of the country's most promising designers Jerome Salaya Ang, Norman Noriega and Jeffrey Rogador that features Ankle cut Jeans for women and Stretch Denim for men.
Then the most awaited part was the interview portion of Boy Abunda to Nina Garcia, who was happy that lots of people came in SMX for the said event. Boy Abunda asked plenty of question and Nina answered clearly while the audience attentively listened to her. Too bad I don't have a good camera to zoom further and take a shot during that interview.
One of the questions that marked was "what will be her advice to those young designer who want to achieve/reach her path?" According to Nina Garcia, "designer should do internship, experiment, stay very focus, be authentic and be unique on the things that you want to do."
Another thing that she said and I definitely like was "she really like bloggers, because bloggers do write ups personalized."
The event truly gave some great insights and inspiration for Filipinos, she truly shared her own experiences and knowledge, and end up the night with an enlightened mind perhaps not only for me but for all the Filipino people.
