It’s another love story and another kilig moments. We moms sure know what it feels like to fall in love and be in love, so as start of the love month and an advance pre-Valentine treat “That Thing Called Tadhana” hits the mainstream. Enjoy, fall in-love and savor the romance of the theatrical release of this romcom movie.

“That Thing Called Tadhana” was one of the official entries of the 10th Cinema One Originals Film Festival and it ran only in selected theaters in Metro Manila last November 2014 to rave reviews from critics and very positive feedback from fans. The movie was written and directed by director Antoinette Jadaone who also directed 2014’s “Beauty In A Bottle” and “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig”.

That Thing Called Tadhana is a romantic comedy film that stars two of ABS-CBN’s most talented and accomplished young stars, Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman. This will be the first time that these two stars work together so when Angelica Panganiban was asked about her reaction when told that she’ll be filming with JM De Guzman, her response was “Ah talaga … wala na bang iba?” It was an honest humor reaction. While when JM was asked about his reaction working with Angelica, he exclaimed that “hindi naalis ang kaba… na startstruck… may kaunting intimidation.”

In the movie it has effectively and successfully injected an unmistakably Pinoy flavor to the age-old question that has been asked by countless hapless lovers throughout the age… where do broken hearts go?

In the case of That Thing Called Tadhana, two broken-hearted individuals Mace (Panganiban) and Anthony (De Guzman) unexpectedly meet in an airport in Europe and they develop an unlikely kinship that will lead them to an unforgettable sojourn to Northern Philippines. Together, Mace and Anthony will explore Manila, Baguio, and Sagad where they will discover if their friendship can transcend to the next level to mend each other’s broken hearts.

That Thing Called Tadhana has the chemistry, the mixture of romance and comedy laced with realistic, down-to-earth, and relatable dialogue. Angelica and JM delivers superb performances as they ignite and aroused the sensibilities of every moviegoer. And because of Angelica Panganiban’s portrayal of Mace she was awarded Best Actress by GAWAD Tanglaw which is by the way an academe-based group that honors the most exceptional achievements in local filmmaking. It should also be noted that Angelica also bagged the Best Actress trophy in the 2014 Cinema One Originals film Festival. Watch and discover whether Mace and Antohony will find what they are looking for and if they could truly heal their broken hearts in this brilliant romantic-comedy that everyone should not fail to miss.

That Thing Called Tadhana is distributed by Star Cinema and it hits Cinemas nationwide starting February 4. It’s not too early to drag your husbands or boyfriends to watch this movie.

Last May 5, 2014, So It's You bloggers conference was held at the Imperial Palace in Timog, Q.C.  It was an afternoon of great talk and intimate discussion with the stars Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez.  They were very accommodating in answering questions from us, the bloggers.



For Carla and Tom, this is their first ever romantic comedy film and their first movie together.   Carla played the character of Lira who is a bubbly person but couldn't get over from the heartache that she experienced while Tom played the character of Goryo who is a shoemaker who wants to move on with his life. Both of them were brought together by their misfortunes in love. Lira was dumped and left behind during their wedding day while Goryo is a single dad.



During the conference, Carla shared that her character Lira was very far different from her personality which is hard for her to portray the character.  She even disclosed that her character Lira is all out when fall in love but Carla on the other hand makes reservation. 



For Tom, his role with My Husband's Lover was a blessing and a wonderful opportunity for him plus a great leap for his acting career. He even shared that he auditioned for his role in My Husband's Lover. Tom was very thankful for all the blessings and he was thankful that So It's You was one of them.


The movie is directed by Jun Lana, a critically-acclaimed director of Bwakaw and Barber's Tales. According to them the material was first created before the cast.



We all know the love and heartache story of Carla but no one knows what's the story  behind during the making of the movie.  Though going through with the negative side of love, her performance in the film showed no trace of what she's going through while shooting. 

Another movie that will definitely be enjoyed by movie goers.  Fresh from its critical and box-office triumph in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival, Star Cinemas continues its 20th anniversary celebration as it opens 2014 with a bang with Bride For Rent – a romantic comedy starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

The Kim and Xian tandem in their previous movie "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?"and in their primetime series "My Binondo Girl," and the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" created a truly kilig love team.   Their love team are loved by their fans and are looking forward for more of them, that's "Bride For Rent" is sure to be watched by moviegoers. 



Bride For Rent is a hilarious love story centered on Rocco Espiritu (Lim) and Rocky Espiritu (Chiu) who are both in desperate need of money. Rocco needs to get married to have access to his sizable trust fund while Rocky on the other hand is frantic for rent money lest her whole family gets evicted and homeless.

Rocco conspires with Rocky who agrees to act as his “pseudo wife” in exchange for a huge “talent fee.” A series of sidesplitting problems arise as Rocco and Rocky implement their deceitful plot. Would their plan work or would it backfire on them with the possibility of them developing actual feelings with each other?



It should be noted that Bride For Rent is the very first film collaboration between Kim and Xian after their 2013 smash hit Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? The film also features the grand comeback of Asia’s Queen Of Songs Pilita Corales to the big-screen as she portrays a very special role. Both film buffs and fans of the Kim-Xian love-team can look forward to an unforgettable and feel-good cinematic experience with Bride For Rent which is the perfect way to jump start the New Year.

Story and screenplay by Carmi Raymundo, and Charlene Grace Bernardo, Bride For Rent features an all-star-cast that includes Tirso Cruz III, Martin del Rosario, Empoy Marquez, Mariann Flores, Matt Evans, Zeppi Borromeo, Lloyd Zaragoza and Pilita Corrales. Directed by box-office director Mae Czarina Cruz, whose most notable recent work is 2013's smash hit "She's The One".



Bride For Rent is showing in all cinemas nationwide starting January 15.

Last week I was able to attend the blog conference of the latest offering of Star Cinema entitled “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo” which is an adaptation of the best-selling book from the self-proclaimed “Internet Action Star” Ramon Bautista. It was held at ABS CBN ELJCC Building. It is part of the continuing celebration of Star Cinema's 20th Anniversary Celebration.

The movie is a romantic comedy which will sure make viewers laugh their hearts out and at the same time realize things about love and about themselves. The question “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo” was answered by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim and Kean Cipriano at the blog conference.


This movie, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim's first big screen team-up. This movie is the story about the lives of a brainy ugly duckling employee named Sandy Veloso played by Kim and his rich and dashing boss Alex Prieto played by Xian.

From an interesting encounter, the boss and the assistant will find themselves helping each other. Sandy will help Alex learn the ropes for him to effectively run their company while Alex helps Sandy learn to play the practical games of dating and relationships for her to get back on her ex-boyfriend Gardo and not get her heart broken over again.

It's already March and the heat of the summer is already approaching but you could still feel the love in the air as one of the well loved love team of this generation makes you feel in love once again with their latest movie offering, the "Must Be... Love".

Last week we were invited for a blog conference together with "Kathniel", the Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla love team, to a wonderful day of talks about the movie. Of course there are some discreet factor to make us want to watch the movie and see for ourselves how the story goes. This is their first ever movie together being the lead actors and actress. They have been together as sweethearts in some movies but they were just part of it. Now, it is their time to shine and they were happy about it.


The "Kathniel" love team was truly amazing, after being match together and as their tandem in the "Princess and I" flourished, the chemistry never stops unfurling. More "kilig" moments every time that they are together and it shows during the blog conference, the sweetness and everything.

For me, I can say that it was a bad boy image and sweetly figure made the "Kathniel" love team click to the fans.

The story is about a boyish girl name "Patchot" which is played by Kathryn who teases and goes along with her school bestfriend Ivan which is played by Daniel. Conflicts arises as Patchot suddenly felt something for Ivan who only treats her as a friend. It got worsen when Ivan met Angel which is Patchot's cousin played by Liza Soberano. Ivan, upon seeing Angel, experienced what they call a "slow mo (slow motion)" moment with her. Ivan was deep down love struck leaving Patchot disregarded and helpless. The story goes but of course even I don't know yet what will happen next so let us all see it and uncover the rest of the story on March 13.


The movie is directed by Direk Dado Lumibao and casted by other stars like John Estrada, John Lapus, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, Arlene Muhlach, Cacai Bautista, K Brosa, Janus Del Prado, Paul Salas, Sharlene San Pedro, Kit Thompson, Miguel Morales and Cris Gabriel Queg, under Star Cinema.
