Parents, like me, nowadays should also be internet savvy to adopt with today's generation, specially if you have kids. Though being online is of great help for us, especially with the kids school projects, still there are things that are somewhat needs to be restricted and guided. Not everything online or in social media are appropriate for the kids, so we really need to have restrictions and we don't want our kids to be influenced online negatively.





Recently, I was able to watch the series of High on iWant starring Ria Atayde and Markus Paterson, which is by the very timely because of the flourishing of social media but perhaps the only different is the challenges that it imposes. We all know that this generation is more active and always on to any challenges. The story of High is about the danger or the negative effect of joining challenges online like what the siblings, Gabby (Ria) and Miguel (Markus) have joined.  

The series has 8 episodes and fortunately it is now on its 6th episode which you can watch on iWant. This series made me curious enough that I can't hardly wait to finish the whole 8 episodes. What's great about this series is that it is produced by Filipinos that can be compared to foreign TV series. 
 

Ria Atayde's character made it more interesting and mysterious. Ria shared that she did so many stunts for High and for her its fulfilling. Even her mother Sylvia Sanchez called during their shoot and assure the safety of Ria, specially the one scene where they used as the poster and banner of the series High where Ria climbs the tower. That scene is part of the mystery and challenge in the series. Truly, Ria is a very adventurous person, in showbiz and in her real life.

Like Mommy Sylvia Sanchez she immediately told her youngest daughter and son Gela and Xavi that they need to promise not to engage in any suspicious activity in the internet. It is also an eye opener for me that I should be very careful on letting my kids use the internet. One of these days I will talk to my kids about it and remind them the danger of some sites that are not applicable on their ages.

But I am sure to finish the series by next week January 19 for the last 2 episodes of High. So get high in watching and expect a good story with iWant's original series HIGH.

Even moms like me do love basketball, also in my teenage years. I used watch games at the local leagues where some of my relatives and even my brothers are playing. So, to me basketball is perhaps been a part of my life. My hubby also plays basketball but not that hardcore in playing. He just plays when there's opportunity but he make sure that our kids do play basketball.

It was unveiled recently the "First Pinoy Anime Series" entitled "Barangay 143" and what's even great is that this anime will aired in GMA 7. Now my kids will have some basketball watching to do. Unfortunately the time and day of the TV series have been declared yet. The anime series is produced by a group of companies joined together to have this "First Pinoy Anime Series". Teamed up together, Jyotirmoy Saha, CEO of August Media Holdings; Jackeline Chua, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Synergy88 Entertainment Media Inc., Takahiro Kishimoto, Head of Animation, International Business Department of TV Asahi, and Joey Abacan, Head of Acquisition, GMA Network and made announcement of the airing on GMA 7 of "Barangay 143" Anime series.

Barangay 143 – as the series is known is the first-ever Filipino Anime series. Co-produced between Synergy88, TV Asahi (Japan) and August Media Holdings (Singapore), Barangay 143 will feature a glittering celebrity cast including Cherie Gil, Alice Dixon and John Arcilla and millennial heartthrobs, Julie Anne San Jose, Kelley Day, Migo Adacer, and Ruru Madrid.








Barangay 143 is a feel-good coming of age story of a young Korean boy whose search for his father brings him to the Philippines. Lost and desperate for answers, is here in this foreign land that he finds an unlikely family in a team of misfits whose only ambition is to bring glory to their hometown. It's a story about love and family set against the action-packed world of street basketball, where the stakes are always high and life the biggest game you can win.

He is back! Yes Dingdong Dantes, GMA Kapuso's Primetime King is back on TV for another newest headlining TV series of GMA Netwok's Alyas Robin Hood which starts this coming September 19. The series dramatically showcases an inspiring truth that in each one of us is a hero, able to be of service for the welfare of other people.

A combination of action, drama, adventure and comedy, Alyas Robin Hood revolves around the life of Pepe de Jesus (Dingdong), a man who finds absolution in doing service to his community. Known to be a prodigal son-turned-bar passer-turned-urban poor advocate, Pepe was framed up for the murder of his own father and was put behind bars. Believed to be perished after a violent prison break, Pepe survives and searches for the real culprit on the devastating death of his father and at the same time he redeems his own name under an assumed identity, Alyas Robin Hood. With the help of a few people he trusts, Pepe as Alyas Robin Hood mediates to seize crimes from happening, thus helping the oppressed as he slowly finds out the truth about who his real enemies are.

Dingdong will surely hook the viewers onto their TV screens as he embodies Alyas Robin Hood while doing action-packed scenes. I remember the last time that I get hooked on a foreign TV series was years ago.  Now, I am glad that I was one of the guests that were able to watch the House of Cards and I can say that promise you going to get hooked on this series, the twist, the plot, it was really exciting! Though the series is about government and power I somewhat was able to catch up with it.

Leaving loads of nail-biting cliffhangers for loyal viewers as it went on its mid-season hiatus, “The Walking Dead” Season 3 returns to Fox Philippines on Feb 16 at 8:55 PM. Fans of the hit TV series about a hardy group of survivors of the zombie apocalypse are expecting an all-out war to explode on their screens at the premiere and will tune in to see what happens when different aspects of human nature clash in a world with little hope left in it.




“The Walking Dead” chronicles the lives of a motley band of stragglers who somehow survived the onslaught of a zombie apocalypse and were brought together by desperation and the will to live in a new, terrible world. The group is led by Officer Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, who fully embraces his role as chief after the events of the previous seasons, having been forced time and again to question the motives of his people and discern what decisions to make in order for them to survive. At the onset of Season 3, the group, composed of his wife Lori, his son Carl, Herschel and his daughters Maggie and Beth, and original members Daryl, Glenn, Carol and T-Dog, desperately looks to Rick to determine their next move, and he lays down the law by declaring that their priority is to find a semi-permanent shelter where they can recover safely. Meanwhile, Andrea is found and cared for by the rogue self-styled warrior Michonne when she is separated from the group as they flee the walker-infested farm.


The first half of Season 3 was relentless in revealing one shocking development after another. In their quest to find a safe haven, Rick and his group encounter numerous dangers as they fight to claim an abandoned prison full of walkers. The story also followed Michonne and Andrea’s adventure in parallel, who stumble upon a thriving community of survivors led by someone who calls himself “The Governor”, played by David Morrissey. Recently, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented An Evening with The Walking Dead, where a panel of cast members, including Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), DanaiGurira (Michonne) and David Morrissey (The Governor), along with Creator and Executive Producer Robert Kirkman, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, and Co-Executive Producer and Special EFX Makeup Supervisor, Greg Nicotero, discussed the first half of Season 3 of The Walking Dead at length in front of an audience. They explored the character’s motivations that led them to certain decisions and actions that helped set up the inevitable battle that will occur in the latter half of Season 3.

"One of the enduring strengths of the show is that it keeps reinventing itself," said Andrew Lincoln. Lauren Cohan added, "The ways we’re pushing boundaries is so interesting and surprising to see on TV." The actors’ portrayals of their characters have also been integral to the show’s appeal to audiences. Gale Ann Hurd said, “The reason people watch the show is the cast...the audience is invested in the characters.”
