“Huwag Kang Mangamba” is a series that stars Andrea Brillantes and Francine Diaz who give life to the characters of Mira and Joy, respectively. With less than a month to go before the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pasasalamat’s” first tour stop in the Middle East and just as tickets have been released, the show’s stars are already gearing up for The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) major event on December 2 and 3 in Al Khobar and Dubai.

Kicking off ABS-CBN Middle East’s 20th anniversary and part of ABS-CBN’s 2016 Christmas theme “Isang Pamilya Tayo,” the event brings together key members of the cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” led by King of Primetime Coco Martin along with “ASAP” Soul Sessions’ Daryl Ong, to celebrate with Filipinos overseas as one family.
“Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” may be Martin’s second time in the Middle East but this early, he is looking forward for the chance to see his kabayans in the Middle East again. “Bago ako naging artista, nabuhay ko ang pamilya ko sa pagsisikap ko sa abroad. Kaya naman malapit sa akin ang mga overseas Filipinos. – naiintindihan ko ang kanilang pinagdadaanan.” Martin adds, “Kahit pumunta na ako rito noon para sa ‘Walang Hanggan,’excited akong makasama silang muli para sa “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo.”
While “The Voice” finalist Daryl Ong may be a regular in TFC events, he looks forward to his first Middle East event. “At TFC, we are always expected to deliver world-class performances wherever we perform. But I hope to bring a new flavor into this first installment of ‘FPJ’s Áng Probinsyano’s overseas show.”
Joining Martin and Ong is comedian and Martin’s sidekick in the series, Pepe Herrera, a literal TFC first-timer. “Noong unang sinabi sa akin na magiging bahagi ako ng ‘FPJ’s Áng Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo,’ laking gulat ko. The three will perform in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” Al Khobar leg on December 2.

Meantime, performing for the Dubai leg are some of the “Ang Probinsyano” cast led by Martin and joined by Dubai first-timers Herrera, Princess of the Dance Floor Yassi Pressman, and Onyok.
Pressman admits this too is her first TFC event in the region as well and she us excited. “Like my co-stars. I am also looking forward to my first time there. On the other hand, I live with two cultures, having been born in Hong Kong with my British dad and Filipina mom. So being with my kababayans overseas also feels like home.”
All is not complete without the teleserye’s indomitable Onyok, who on the other hand, has already performed for TFC via “ASAP Live in New York.” Dropping his famous line, Onyok shares his excitement: “Ayos! Sobra po akong masaya. Makakasama kong muli sina Kuya Coco, makakapasyal pa ako.”

The Dubai leg of “Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” happens on December 3 at the Al Nasr Leisureland in Dubai, UAE.

Meantime, joining them for an afternoon of motivational talk is multi-awarded host (Golden Dove Award and CMMA Hall of Fame award) of DZMM Radyo Negosyo,” Carl Balita. Arci Muñoz and Jericho Rosales will team up for the first time to dramatize the story of how love will try to transcend the test of time in the series “Magpahanggang Wakas.”

Rosales was all praises to his leading lady, Munoz, whom he is working with for the first time. He is glad they get along well since they did several love scenes which are necessary for the story of the show.

“(Sa) totoo lang po hindi madaling gumawa ng love scene. Kailangan mong maniwala na nagmamahalan talaga kayo for a very good reason,” Jericho confessed.

However, Jericho and Arci emphasized that more than anything, the viewers can look forward to the teleserye’s beautiful story. “It’s a story about love. Siyempre love is the greatest,” said Jericho.

It all starts with their families’ rift, which gets deeper after Aryann’s father is accidentally killed by Waldo for attempting to rape Aryann. Although Aryann was able to get Waldo out of prison through her costumer in the bar Tristan (John Estrada), their trials didn’t end there.

Waldo is shot by the vengeful brother of Aryanna’s father, leaving everyone thinking that he is dead.

As Aryann slowly moves on, Tristan supported her in coping with her loss and during this period, they find themselves slowly falling in love. However, on the night of their engagement party, Aryann is shaken by a big surprise: Waldo is alive and is one of Tristan’s scholars.

Aryann may see her life all set with Tristan, but also finds herself confused with her feelings for the two men in her life. Meanwhile Waldo will do everything to win Aryann back, even to the point of going against Tristan.

After bringing Filipino films to mainstream European cinemas via “A Second Chance” and opening 2016 with the grand screening of “Everything About Her,” TFC@theMovies creates history anew as it screens CCM Creatives’ critically acclaimed “Padre de Familia” first in the Middle East and Europe.

TFC@theMovies will bring the widely talked about “Padre de Familia,” directed by Adolf Alix Jr., to mainstream cinemas starting February 18 in the Middle East (in partnership with Gulf Film) and starting February 20 in Europe.

According to ABS-CBN Europe, Middle East and Africa Managing Director Kai Rodriguez, the milestone screening of “Padre de Familia” is part of ABS-CBN’s continuing mission to reach out to global Filipinos. Since 1997, ABS-CBN has been retelling the stories of overseas Filipinos (OFs) on film through its movie production and distribution unit Star Cinema. These films include “Sana Maulit Muli (partly shot in the United States of America)” “Goodbye America (U.S.A.),” “Anak (Hong Kong),” “American Adobo (U.S.A.),” “Caregiver (United Kingdom),” “For the First Time (Greece),” “Milan (Italy),” “Dubai (United Arab Emirates),” “Love Me Again (Australia)” and “In My Life (U.S.).”

ABS-CBN’s international arm TFC then started producing its own films on OFs with “A Mother’s Story” in 2012 and just last year, 2015, with “EDSA Woolworth” through its brand TFC@theMovies.

In the tradition of these films, “Padre de Familia” is also about an OF, specifically of Noel (Coco Martin), who took over the reins when his father Ben (Joel Torre) left the family and his responsibility as head of the family. While he was in Malaysia, Noel thinks that his mother Aida (Nora Aunor), as the one expected to provide guidance to the family, is performing her role until the harsh reality that she too has her own needs, sets in.
“Padre de Familia” is also the first team-up of the Superstar and the Box Office King plus Primetime King. Both have been, time and again, compared for their humble beginnings, expressive eyes and superb acting. Some industry observers have even called Martin “the male Nora Aunor.”

With their impressive body of work, Aunor and Martin are expected to deliver memorable performances as a mother and son who will bring the OF audience to a journey of life, love and forgiveness. In the end, the question remains – who is truly worthy of being called “Padre de Pamilya?”

Asian-American Entertainment Network Engaged to Produce and Promote New York City’s Largest Annual Breakdance Competition

Myx TV, the fastest growing English-language, multicultural Asian-American entertainment network in the United States, will produce and promote a two-hour long television special based on “McDonald’s B-Boy Royale 2”, the largest annual breakdance competition in New York City. The special will feature behind-the-scenes drama and groundbreaking dance styles of some of the most talented dance crews from the East Coast who battled for the grand prize of $5,000 and the coveted McDonald’s B-Boy Royale championship title this past August.

The competition also served as a charity fund raiser. All ticket proceeds benefited the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the New York Tri-State Area, which helps children achieve their fullest potential by supporting programs that improve their wellbeing.

The action-packed Philippines vs. the World in StubHub Center and world-class One Kapamilya Go! in Oracle Arena, along with TFC Sama Saya events highlight TFC’s October

October 2015 was a memorable month of “firsts” for TFC in North America, highlighted by two giant events held only a week apart: the unforgettable, action-packed and world-class boxing matches of Philippines vs the World at StubHub Center on October 17, a partnership among ABS-CBN Sports + Action, ALA International and TFC, featuring Filipino boxing champions Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, Albert “Prince” Pagara, Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo, and Jason “El Nino” Pagara from ALA International and US-based champion Bruno Escalante; and the One Kapamilya Go in Oracle Arena on October 25 with the cast of the top-rated teleserye, Pangako Sa ‘Yo - Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Jodi Sta Maria, Angelica Panganiban, Ian Veneracion, Thou “Takong” Reyes and DJ JhaiHo “Coring” with internationally renowned singers, Charice, Erik Santos and Morissette.

Pinoys in Melbourne & Sydney came together and sang with Zanjoe Marudo, Beauty Gonzales, Kakai, Aiza Seguerra, Angeline Quinto and Erik Santos at TFC’s two-day entertainment fare

While set apart by Australia’s massive terrain, the Filipinos “Down Under” came together for The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) second installment of the much-anticipated OK Go! Australia on September 18 and 20. TFC roused thousands of Filipinos at the Planetshakers Centre in South Melbourne and the Rosehill Gardens Raceourse in Sydney with exciting Kapamilya stars bringing a two-day, world-class entertainment extravaganza that engaged kababayans to a veritable sing-a-long.

“2015 OKGo! Australia,” the second installment in TFC’s series of blockbuster events for kababayans in Australia, engaged over four thousand Filipinos in Melbourne and Sydney with hours of world-class voices and exciting performances of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) hits and classics; mainstream international hits; the latest dance craze and pure Pinoy fun.

According to Asia Pacific Managing Director for ABS-CBN Global Ltd. Ailene Averion “Last year, TFC celebrated 20 years of service to Filipinos worldwide. This year’s OKGo! Australia continues to be a showcase of Filipino talent, our kababayans’ fondness for entertainment and the Pinoy’s unique bayanihanspirit wherever in the world they may be.”
Highlighting TFC’s poste event is “Dream Dad” love team Zanjoe Marudo and Beauty Gonzales singing a string of OPM hits such as “Kapag Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko” and “Pusong Bato.”
Thrilling the audience even more was when host and “Your Face Sounds Familiar” star Kakai Bautista pulled out three ladies from the audience to join Marudo for an on-stage contest where Marudo then proceeded to serenade the winning contestant with “Hinahanap-hanap Kita.”
Raising the entertainment level was Queen of Teleserye Themes Angeline Quinto singing fan favorites such as “Anong Nangyari Sa Atin” and King of Teleserye Themes Erik Santos singing his classics such as “This is the Moment” and his own version of international hit “Titanium.”
Turning the concert into a veritable sing-along was Aiza Seguerra who performed her biggest hit “Pagdating ng Panahon” to which Filipinos from all walks of life sang along with. Seguerra also performed her own version of OPM rock hit “El Bimbo.”
Sealing the entertainment fare on both the Melbourne and Sydney shows was the cast’s performance of “Good Time” which pretty much sums up what the TFC event was all about –pure fun and world-class entertainment with Kapamilyas.

According to Averion, the audience response may have not come as a surprise but the feedback was rewarding.

Averion shared “We were challenged with the fact that Filipinos here are from distant areas and it will take them one good reason to pull out of their daily grind and come together as one community. I see now that when you give them a good show, they will reward you with a kind of response that validates all the hard work we put into setting up One Kapamilya Go!” Averion added, “Our Kapamilyas joined the performers as they sang along to each song; danced to each hit; laughed to the stars’ banter; and celebrated togetherness with fellow Filipinos.”
Averion ends, “Our kababayans’ reception inspires us to raise the level of our entertainment offering for Filipinos in the Land Down Under. With this, Kapamilyas can expect more from TFC in the years to come.”

ABS-CBN, TFC hold Europe's biggest Filipino event with world-class Filipino and international British acts.

British music journalist Kate Mossman in her acclaimed BBC rockumentary, "Stadium Rock at 50" mentioned that "big concerts should be emotional, almost spiritual events which lift you beyond normal life for a few hours."
But for the 10,000 mostly Filipinos who saw the Philippines' longest-running variety show, ASAP 20 Live in London, last September 6 at The SSE Arena Wembley, a venue that has played host to the world's biggest acts - the likes of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, U2, Barbra Streisand, David Bowie, ABBA, The Cure, Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyonce - the experience was much more profound than fleeting escapism.

Consider this stirring and heartfelt thank you message to TFC from First Secretary and Consul Voltaire Mauricio of the Philippine Embassy in London: "It was my first time to watch a variety show live. It was my first time to see ASAP. It was my first time to set foot at Wembley. It was my first time to sit at the very front row of a big concert. It was my first time in the longest time to enjoy fully great performances from great artists up close. It was my first time to see my daughter truly enjoy and lighten up here in London. Again, thank you very much."
People say that the event was historic, and indeed it was, being the very first Filipino event to be held at The SSE Wembley Arena, among other firsts. But more importantly, to thousands of Filipinos not only in United Kingdom but throughout Europe, ASAP 20 Live in London was heroic: the effort on the part of ABS-CBN and The Filipino Channel (TFC) to mount it was monumental, but the audience response was epic as the more than 3-hour concert penetrated deep emotional spaces that unleashed unbridled joy, nostalgia, and national pride.
"You are world class" At the September 3 press conference for ASAP 20 Live in London held at the Hotel Novotel London Wembley which was livestreamed on TFC Live in U.K. and TFC.tv worldwide, Martin Nievera said, "Everyone is saying that what we are bringing is world-class entertainment. But don't forget that it's you, the Filipinos abroad, who are world-class that's why you're here and we're reaching out to you."

ABS-CBN Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Kai V. Rodriguez recalled: "I've said months ago that everything that TFC in Europe would do this year would say without apologies that we Filipinos have arrived in Europe, what we are and offer are world-class, and that we have the numbers, the skills and the power to make a difference in European society. We believe in ourselves, we are proud of our ‘galing’ and we will let it shine wherever we are.
