It's been a while since my husband and I watched a heavy drama movie. We always want to watch a romcom or an international movie with less drama at all. Let us admit it, we always want happiness when we took time in watching movies. Our recent movies escapade was a bit out of the usual movie that we watch. I got so curious about the title of the movie which is "12".

The number "12" sticks to my mind this year because for the reason that we will be celebrating our 12th Anniversary this coming December. 12 years of marriage, 12 years of being together. I believed in a longtime relationship. We've been 6 years as Boyfriend Girlfriend before we got married. Whoa take note its been 18 years now that we've been together. Well, I think the secret of our relationship is open communication.
Unlike in the movie "12" which starred by Alessandra de Rossi and Ivan Padilla, their being together from friends to lovers was totaled to 12 and most movies about two people in love always has its audience because of the hope that in the end is going to be a happy ending. In the movie 12 will make things unfolds in a roller coaster ride of emotions that create an impact. This newest VIVA Films presentation showcased a push and pull of feelings that will let you think of what's going to happen in the end.
"12" tells the story of Anton and Erika, a couple who started out as friends for 5 years then became in a relationship for 7 years, making it a total of 12 years of being together. Anton is a commercial director, while Erika is a former band member who becomes his stay-at-home partner, lovingly and happily devoting her time taking care of her man. Finally, the day comes when he asks her to marry him...will they end up getting married and stay together forever?
Fresh form the tremendous success of "Kita Kita", Alessandra De Rossi plays the role of Erika with complete abandon, just like she is knows to do in every performance. This film is an assurance that this award-winning actress really loves her craft despite her statement before about wanting to quit showbiz, which hopefully will not be anytime soon.
Playing Anton is newcomer Ivan Padilla who was seen as Huber, Bela Padilla's boyfriend in "100 Tula Para Kay Stella", another blockbuster hit from VIVA Films. Ivan is related to the famous Padilla actors, but he's excited to show everyone in the Philippines that he deserves to be recognized for his own talent in acting. Just like Alessandra, he asserts that he has really put his heart and soul in playing his character.
The chemistry between Alessandra and Ivan is something to look forward to in this romantic drama that is surely relatable to couples of today. Yah, there is a chemistry between them, they look so natural in acting that seems to be in a true relationship.
The story itself is really an enlightenment to those in a serious relationship, I do relate on the numbers of years that they been together and some issues when they are living together. There's an instance in the scene that they raise the issue, suddenly me and my husband looked to each other and then smiled. Yah, there are so many struggles in life that needs to be faced everyday. But at the end of the day, the two people involved are the ones who will decide what will happen to their lives.

Acting wise of Alessandra is really superb and it really hits the spot, right through the heart. She really acts naturally. She is really versatile, whether comedy or drama she really knows how to act.  While, Ivan Padilla is a revelation, a newbie here in the Philippine cinema and is truly amazing. His acting is above the level.  I think Ivan will have a future here in Philippines movie. Congrats to both of you.
Do watch the movie "12" with your loved ones, and for sure you and your partner will realize something about your relationship. "12" is showing in cinemas nationwide starting November 8, 2017
