In a heartfelt tribute to mothers ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, actor Dingdong Dantes declared that he would vote for one in the upcoming elections on May 9.

“Sa inyo po ang aking buong pagpupugay ... ang aking paghanga, ang aking serbisyo, ang aking boto,” Dingdong said in a video message where he expressed love and admiration for his mother.

“Tulad ninyong lahat, mahal ko ang Nanay ko. Pero hindi ko lubos matukoy kung bakit, hanggang masaksihan ko mismo sa asawa ko,” he said.

In the video, Dingdong enumerated the virtues of a good mother, from protecting their children from any harm and putting their welfare ahead of herself.

“Kaytapang talaga ng mga Nanay. Handang makipaglaban, iharang sa peligro ang sariling katawan, makipagsapalaran, ipagpaliban ang sariling kapakanan. Walang aatrasan. Walang hamong sinusukuan. Ibang klaseng magmahal. Radikal!” he said.

He also called mothers as “miracle workers” for their ability to make ends meet despite having a meager budget.

“Lahat ng sakit, naiinda. Pagkaing isusubo na lang, ibibigay pa sa mga anak niya. Prayoridad niyang umangat ang buhay ng mga mahal niya,” Dingdong said.

While mothers are considered the “light of the house”, Dingdong said they also deserved to be called “pillar of the house” for doing more than they can for their family.

“Inspirasyon namin siya para patuloy na maging mabuti at gumawa ng mabuti. Kaya buung-buo kong itataya sa pangangalaga niya ang mga pangarap ko para sa aking mga anak, para sa aming pamilya.” Dingdong explained.

It is interesting when Moms like me are present in events like this and there are so many reasons to share. It seems that the big reveal was that MESA Filipino Moderne Restaurant of the Foodee Global Concepts (FGC) finally introduce their very first celebrity endorser the Kapuso Network, Dingdong Dantes. FGC introduced Dingdong Dantes as part of their family and as partner in the company's campaign "Road to 100".

The contract signing was held at The Food Hall in SM Aura at BGC and present during the event were Foodee Global Concepts Executives Raymond Federigan, Director of National Operations; Eric Dee, Chief Operating Officer; Rikki Dee, Chief Executive Officer and Dingdong Dantes together with his Talent Manager Perry Lansigan.

Directed by one of the industry’s most widely known directors behind the biggest romantic-comedy hits, Cathy Garcia-Molina, “Seven Sundays” gathers some of the finest actors the Philippine entertainment industry has produced: critically acclaimed Ronaldo Valdez, actor-director Dingdong Dantes; teen heartthrob Enrique Gil, multi-talented actress Cristine Reyes, and timeless heartthrob Aga Muhlach to portray the lead roles.

In the story, Valdez is Manuel, is a man who learns of his demise but sees it as a chance to bring his family back together. He is back! Yes Dingdong Dantes, GMA Kapuso's Primetime King is back on TV for another newest headlining TV series of GMA Netwok's Alyas Robin Hood which starts this coming September 19. The series dramatically showcases an inspiring truth that in each one of us is a hero, able to be of service for the welfare of other people.

A combination of action, drama, adventure and comedy, Alyas Robin Hood revolves around the life of Pepe de Jesus (Dingdong), a man who finds absolution in doing service to his community. Known to be a prodigal son-turned-bar passer-turned-urban poor advocate, Pepe was framed up for the murder of his own father and was put behind bars. Believed to be perished after a violent prison break, Pepe survives and searches for the real culprit on the devastating death of his father and at the same time he redeems his own name under an assumed identity, Alyas Robin Hood. With the help of a few people he trusts, Pepe as Alyas Robin Hood mediates to seize crimes from happening, thus helping the oppressed as he slowly finds out the truth about who his real enemies are.

Dingdong will surely hook the viewers onto their TV screens as he embodies Alyas Robin Hood while doing action-packed scenes. Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes takes on a role he has never done before in GMA's 'Pari 'Koy'

 

Dingdong Dantes, one of the country's most-sought-after leading men, who is blessed not just with bountiful talent but especially with the heart to reach out and act upon his advocacies, will portray the role of Father Kokoy.

 

Everyone may want to be part of Kokoy's world. Aside from having the complete package of good looks, humor, warmth, and wisdom, he is also being looked upon because of his on-point principles in life. A go-to person in times of problems, Kokoy is the kind of friend who will unconditionally offer a shoulder to lean on. He is the ideal guy, the Mr. Right, and the man any woman would like to introduce to her parents. But here's the catch: Kokoy is a priest.

 

Father Kokoy, better known as "Pari Koy," is a priest who is known for his non-traditional and non-conformist ways of bringing people closer to God. He will do anything just to show that it is cool to believe. But his own faith will be put to the test when he is assigned in the parish of Barangay Pinagpala and starts to deal with the people of the community.

 

Set in a contemporary barangay, stellar performances will be delivered by some of the country's respected and talented artists including;

Sunshine Dizon as Noemi, the secretary of the parish in Pinagpala who remains to be optimistic despite being maltreated by her husband; 

Chanda Romero as Martha, the self-righteous leader of the lay workers in the parish of Pinagpala who is against the unconventional ways of Father Kokoy; 

Luz Valdez as Esther, one of the lay workers in the parish who loves to talk about gossips and rumors; and Dexter Doria as Salome, also a lay worker who loyally serves in the parish despite being teased by Martha and Esther.

 

Another highlight to look forward to is how Father Kokoy puts his faith in action as he meets the poeple of Barangay Pinagpala. 

Playing equally vital roles are Gabby Eigenmann as Jude, the influential and corrupt chairman of Barangay Pinagpala; 

Rap Fernandez as Sol, the right-hand person of Jude, who helps him with his illegal schemes; JC Tiuseco as Timo, the irresponsible brother of Noemi; and Carlo Gonzales as Simon, the abusive husband of Noemi who fails to provide for his family.
