Change is the only constant thing in this world. In the past few months there are lots of changes happened in the Showbiz/Entertainment world. One of these changes is the change of network of one of the award-winning actress and comedian Pokwang who just recently signed a contract. Yes, Pokwang is now a certified Kapuso!

The contract signing happened last June 18 through a virtual ceremony with the presence of  Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Arespachochaga, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, Senior Program Manager Enri Calaycay, and GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora. It was indeed a momentous event for GMA and for Pokwang. 

Pokwang became very emotional with the warm welcome of some Kapuso artist, like Ai Ai Delas Alas, Rayver Cruz, Camille Prats, and Alden Richards.  

According to Pokwang, she parted ways with her previous network in good terms. Gladly they accept her decision. According to her, she wants to continue her passion as an artist, and very thankful to GMA Network for opening their doors for her to share and show her talents.

Excitedly, Pokwang shared that she wants to work with Kapuso artist, like DongYan (Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Barbie Forteza, Dennis Trillio, Carla Abellana, Ai Ai Delas Alas, Alden Richards, and Maine Mendoza.

Hmm... aren't these two just a site to see!!!! A perfect picture of a husband and wife. Probably one of the latest and hottest couple in the Kapuso Network, the new team up of Jeric Gonzales and Klea Pineda. Netizens noticed their closeness most especially with the recent photos and stories that were posted on each other's instagram. Sweet!!! And no one's complaining about it because these two will slowly but surely make you want to fall in love over and over again!



Kapuso viewers first noticed the chemistry between talented GMA Artist Center stars Jeric Gonzales and Klea Pineda in the suspense-drama series, 'Ika-5 Utos,' and have since looked forward to seeing them together in more soaps.


A homegrown talent of the Network and winner of the all-original talent search Protege, Jeric has consistently proven his caliber in portraying different roles since then, he has become one of GMA's sought-after leading men. He is also known for being musically-inclined in singing and playing the guitar.


Meanwhile, Klea was hailed as the 'Ultimate Female Survivor' in the sixth season of the original reality based artista search 'StarStruck.' Soon after, she starred in the top-rating series, 'Encantadia' as Muyak, and 'Sirkus' as Sefira. With her tall, statuesque figure and striking features, many have called her our future beauty queen.
  
This year, Jeric and Klea take their tandem to the next level as they headline GMA Afternoon Prime's upcoming series Magkaagaw, a controversial drama that follows the story of a daughter who suffers from the consequences of the sins of her mother.





While mirroring the current set-up of most modern couples today, their characters will introduce a story like no other as they get entangled in the secrets and controversies of their own families, harped on revenge and filial sentiments.

Joining Jeric and Klea in the series ar two of the industry's versatile actresses: former on-screen rivals Sheryl Cruz and Sunshine Dizon. Joining them is actor-politician Alfred Vargas.

Watching TV series makes it more convincing if actors playing the roles are convincing enough to make us, viewers, believe of their characters. Yes, there are plenty and some of them are already making their way to our televisions as they work they way up.  Some of these actors who plays good with their characters are now at GMA Artist Center. Just recently they were happy to announce that these 3 hunks, good looking, and talented actors were now member of the Kapuso network namely Paul Salas, Edgar Allan Guzman and Jason Abalos. The new additions to GMA Artist Center's roster of talents.
Paul Salas, who was part of the talent search "StarStruck Kids" in 2004, stars as Chino in GMA Network's newest primetime series "Kara Mia". In an interview with GMA Network, Paul said he is happy and surprised to have been given a chance to be part of a show. Also an excellent dancer, Paul has also performed in the variety shows, "Sunday Pinasaya" and "Studio 7".
Edgar Allan Guzman got his start in showbiz he competed and won in "Eat Bulaga"'s Mr. Pogi in 2006. Before signing with GMA Artist Center, EA was also part of other Kapuso shows such as "My Korean Jagiya" and "The Stepdaughters". EA is set to be a part of GMA Network's newest series "Dragon Lady" where he will be playing Goldwin Chen, a Chinese businessman. He is also working on an upcoming movie titled "Bag Man".
Jason Abalos, who was part of Kapuso shows "The One That Got Away' and "Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko," shared in an interview with GMA Network that he'd like to try comedy projects. Jason is set to be a part of GMA Network's newest series "Stolen."

The Kapuso Network that brings entertaining teleseryes will once again take you on a viewing habit that will air today, Inagaw Na Bituin. Another teleserye that will keep you on your seat every afternoon, just like what happened to all bloggers and Kapuso brigade who attended the Pilot preview of the series.

This teleserye is a one-of-a-kind and extraordinary masterpiece that will touch the lives and tug at viewers’ heartstrings with the Afternoon Prime soap Inagaw na Bituin. Starting today, February 11, a compelling musical-drama series unfolds featuring the country’s most respected and highly-talented artists.


Two of the Network’s sought-after actresses Kyline Alcantara and Therese Malvar play the important roles of Anna Sevilla/Elsa Dela Cruz and Ariela Lopez, respectively.

Anna is the only daughter of a popular showbiz couple. She grows up to be a kind and respectful girl but fiercely protects the people she loves. An unfortunate incident changed her life when she was taken away from her parents. Due to the effects of trauma, Anna forgets her memories and lives a new identity as Elsa with the people she calls family.

Ariela is used to getting her way just like her mother whom she aspires to be like.

Presents during Pilot Viewing are Renz Valerio and Alyana Asistio.  Yanna, on the side note disclosed that this new teleserye is a must see afternoon TV series, especially the confrontation scene of the cast. it is indeed that their acting is truly to the max. Inagaw na Bituin is a riveting tale that started when Anna, the daughter of showbiz power couple Belinda and Eduard, was kidnapped. The kidnappers were caught dead but Anna was never found. Devastated with the loss of their child, the two decided to end their marriage. Belinda suffers a nervous breakdown and with her sister unstable, Lucy takes control of Belinda’s assets which she used to rebuild her singing career. Little did they know that Anna is still alive, living with her kidnapper’s  family and changed her name to Elsa.

Years later, Anna/Elsa and Ariela’s worlds collide in the pursuance of their music careers. Their rise to fame led to the unravelling of Anna’s true identity and the despicable secrets of her family. Apart from sharing the same dream, the two also vie for the heart of the man they both love.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez shared her experience in recording the SID jingle with new Kapuso talents. “I am always excited to sing with other artists. I am flattered how these young talents look up to me,” Regine said.

Broadcast leader GMA Network continues to earn the approval of various institutions, winning several awards from a number of award-giving bodies recently.

Recognizing the Kapuso Network’s commitment to promote good governance, the Office of the Ombudsman gave GMA a Plaque of Appreciation for “Bayan Ko”—the six-part original TV series produced created by GMA Public Affairs Head Nessa Valdellon and directed by Adolf Alix, Jr. A film showing of “Bayan Ko” was also held during the Office of the Ombudsman’s 29th Anniversary last May 16 to 18.

Meanwhile, at the 19th Gawad Pasado last May 3, several Kapuso personalities were recognized for their work in television and film.

Kapuso Best Actress and Meant To Be leading lady Barbie Forteza was named as the “Pinakapasadong Katuwang na Aktres” for the film “Tuos”.
Cannes Best Actress and D’ Originals lead star Ms. Jaclyn Jose received the “Natatanging Gawad Pasado 2016” for her performance in “Ma’Rosa”. Joining her is Eat Bulaga host Paulo Ballesteros who was, in turn, cited for his role in “Die Beautiful”.

Phenomenal love team AlDub—Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza—received the special award “Dangal ng Kabataan”.

The Gawad PASADO (Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro or Film Association of Professors) is a group of film educators in the country that annually honors artists, directors, films, TV shows and music that have positively contributed in the disciplines of social studies, language, arts, and humanities.

Numerous Kapuso programs and personalities were also cited at the Gawad Tanglaw (“Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw”) Awards last April.

Longest-running investigative program Imbestigador was recognized as this year’s “Best Investigative Program,” while award-winning investigative program Reporter’s Notebook won as “Best Documentary Program”.

Taking home the “Best Comedy/Gag Show” award was Pepito Manaloto, the country’s first-ever reality sitcom on television.

At the same time, GMA News TV’s I Juander was hailed as “Best Magazine Show”.
Kapuso host Rhea Santos was given the “Best Morning Show Host” award for the longest-running morning TV show, Unang Hirit.

Character actress Sue Prado was recognized for her role in Magpakailanman’s “Nabaliw na Ina” episode, earning the “Best Performance by an Actress” award.

Ms. Jaclyn Jose won “Best Actress” award for “Ma’Rosa”.
Meanwhile, Mike Enriquez added another feather to his cap as he took home the “Best Male Radio Anchor” award. Fellow DZBB anchor Susan Enriquez, in turn, was named as “Best Female Radio Anchor”.
The Gawad Tanglaw annually recognizes the best in the fields of film, television, radio and print. The board was composed of professors from different universities as well as media practitioners

Last July 26 was a star studded day when Kapuso Network GMA 7 held a Grand Fans Day at SM Mall of Asia. This is part of GMA’s 65th anniversary celebration in the broadcasting industry and this serves as a special treat to its loyal viewers. GMA also provided a “Libreng Sakay” from GMA Network to SM Mall of Asia Arena that day for the fans and supporters of Kapuso Network.
Dubbed as “Thank You, Kapuso! GMA Fans Day 2015” celebrities dished out performances as their way of saying thank you to avid fans and supporters. The event was opened by the rosters of GMA News an Public Affairs award winning achors Jessica Soho, Mel Tiangco, Arnold Clavio, Vicky Morales and Howi Severino.
