The highly-anticipated debut single from Maine Mendoza is finally here as she releases the track "Parang Kailan Lang" on top of the charts.
The song debuted at #1 on the Apple Music Philippines All-Genre Chart, with Maine also being one of the top Universal Records artists to claim the throne on the Apple Music Philippines Pre-Order Chart, with the single being at #1 for 23 consecutive days prior to release.


Breaking from the manufactured pop mold present in the music scene, Maine strips down to her emotions with an easy-listening, LSS-inducing, alternative pop sound.

The memorable track, which reminisces on the past and moves on to the future, is a collaboration with electro-pop-rock band Gracenote, with lead vocalist Eunice Jorge also taking the helm as the song's writer. Fans old and new will be delighted to usher in this new era in Maine Mendoza's storied career.


Maine's song is the one of the first Universal Records releases to be dropped amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The record label previously released a statement saying that all operations would remain digital until further notice, focusing on online audio and video content to give audiences company during the lockdown period. An accompanying music video for the track is set to be released soon.


Maine Mendoza's Parang Kailan Lang is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer and Amazon Music under Universal Records.

Pinoy Boyband Superstar finalist Mark Oblea recently signed a recording deal with Universal Records joining the recording company’s elite roster of OPM talents like Gary Valenciano, Christian Bautista, Noel Cabangon, The CompanY, Parokya ni Edgar, Gloc-9, Sponge Cola, Aiza Seguerra, Claudia Barretto, Donny Pangilinan, Julie Anne San Jose and Elmo Magalona among others.

Gloc-9 is celebrating his 20th year in the Philippine music industry and to mark the milestone, the multi-awarded rap icon has renewed his ties with his former label Universal Records.

“Universal is family. Yung mga trabaho ko dati, mga ginawa ko noon, maganda ang naging relationship namin. With family, you treasure the relationship you have,” says Gloc – 9, who is currently recording songs for his brand new EP called Rotonda under Universal Records.

The five-track EP, set to be released soon, will feature mostly collaborations with OPM artists. These include the track Rotonda and the album’s carrier single Ice Tubig, a collaboration with Mike Luis.

“Ito ay tungkol sa isang babae na ang kanyang puso ay parang ice tubig”, shares Gloc-9 as he expresses his excitement over his new project in his new home.

Ice Tubig will also be the first music video that will be released by Gloc-9 from his new EP.
